Too long no submit. Exams are finished. And internship will come to me. So I can't TAS in few days... But... I've finished World 5-4 already. Upload it to show you that. Improved so many frames. Well. Too long no word. But now, I want to say something about this. Mario Forever Remake has been published for some time. But I forgot to test it with hourglass... I tested it just now. And found it's possible to skip to next world. "World X Completed" can be skipped! BUT It's NOT easy to be accepted by anyone. Because Mario Forever Remake is not official. It's created by other Mario fans. So what do you think about? If you like it, I'll give it a try with my friends.

Now... 5-1 has been finished. There are 59 frames saved. The improvements mainly come from jumping aside from the vine better. Link to video Comparison image: Smaller is mine. When timer changed to 448. When I touched the flagpole.

2-Castle get injured then turn to fire flower. Faster than no injured. 3-1 get blue shell to swim faster. 5-B get shell to skip to 5-castle directly. 5-castle turn to mini to enter world 7 which allows to skip more levels than world 6. Anything else? Which one do you ask? Changing camera angle will help me saves time. For example, get mini mushroom earlier in 5-castle.(It turns mini mushroom earlier than normal.) Don't need to reduce the speed. Flamethrower stops earlier than normal. So that Mario can go across it with full speed.

Mario keeps 3.23 speed before touching the ground. (And it's 3 after touching.) So corner boosting at that place is unnecessary. BTW, here's 1-2. 9 frames saved in this level at lease. Link to video

So... I've come back to this game. Noticed some improvements. And finished 1-1 just now. Link to video Maybe warpless and 100% are more interesting. But running dolphin is hard on my computer. So I TAS shortest one - warped run firstly. Improvements: 1. Corner boosting. It gives 0.1 - 2.0 more pix each time. 2. Better way to get Propeller Suit. EDIT: Improved 18 more frames. Kick ? box instead of groundpound after getting the item. So 18+11=29 frames saved in 1-1. And 10+ frames saved by skipping text "world 1-1" animation faster. (Press A button.) Replace to a new improved video.

Sorry... I want to watch it with dolphin. But aborting playback...(7 !=23, byte 79) I used same emulator as the author's. And give it a same setting as RachelB says. But failed again... I found some improvable things. Just like corner boosting, end world X-X's animation earlier. And I remember that running on the swinging platform in 1-2 is faster. And so on... Maybe I'll challenge NSMBW's warped record, again. So... I just want to know, how to fix that problem, please?

Voted yes. Although there is not many differences between this hack and native SMB. Run is good enough, I think. And awaiting your improvement.

Oh, I've watched that. And I've seen some bugs which I didn't know. And some faster way which I didn't think up. And I learned that it allows big Mario to kick the pipe after getting out of it. Thank you for showing me that video. And look forward to that 100% run will be submitted in someday.

Here isNSMB resource in this site. It seems that corner boosting resource is glitched... But you can learn it from smb3 resource. But it called ceiling boosting in smb3...

Now, the author has submitted 8th level's version. It's a pre-final version. Because he wants to decrease bugs. But I can't wait to TAS it now. So I do that with currect final version. Get [url=http://www.bwass.org/romhack/contra/contrademo8.ips ]ips[/url]. Or visit author's page. Now I've finished Level 1. Level 2 is much hard for me. Because I can't control "S" gun very well. I'm learning and trying to control it now. Also, zyr2288 told me there's a bug in lv2&4's last room. It permits me to damage only one button to go through that room. But we don't know how to achieve it...T.T So I'm testing for that bug during these days. Maybe it would cost me a very very looooooooong time. Here is my .fm2. Ps: It's a single player run. Controlling double players is hard for me... (o.O)

I've TASed smb3's hack - Mario Adventure in 2012. And I've hacked MF into NSMB(DS) last year. And now, I want to hack Mario Adventure into NSMB. But I fall into the problem... Mario Adventure is much different from native smb3. SMB3's editor (smb3 workshop) can't edit Mario Adventure. Because it can't load the currect level address of Mario Adventure... So now, I don't know every level address of MA. But FCEUX can load currect level address to run every level. So... If FCEUX can tell me those level addresses, smb3's editor will load every level's currect address and I can view every level's map by smb3 editor. So can it? If can, tell me how to watch those addresses, please~

すげえ! You beats lots of levels! Some new ideas are pretty good and interesting. Yes vote from me. I'm sorry that I gave up doing nsmbwii's TAS last year. There are 2 reasons. New version emulator in that time is desync. Sometimes a few frames will be lost due to unknown reason... And after 1-1, although it's faster than old one, many frames are lost because of longer distance the Goomba(mini game) moved in map. It cut up about 1 second... After that, new one is only faster than old one about 10+ frames. But I don't know how to manipulate RNG to change Goomba's movement. (In other words, I don't konow RNG's address...XD) So I gave it up. But now, got4n has TASed this game, again. And it's good enough to be a new record for this game. I'm so happy! And... Congratulations to you!

mmm... Will this replace normal smb3's record? I don't think these are the same. After all, there are good story in normal version.

No. Every level in game is much longer than normal Contra. So it changed to 256kb(US version). Also, Super Contra 7 has many bugs. (Many people don't think it's a good game due to this.)But there are few new bugs in this hack. The author improve difficulty. Such as the number of bullet, density of bullet. As for new sprites, new types of bomb, and new types of room in area 2 & area 4. Especially last room in each area. Boss is a little different.

Now the author has finished 7 levels. Give it a name - Revenge of the Red Falcon. Expand ROM file successfully. So it will contain all 8 levels in one file. Demo 6 Demo 7
