This is kinda the same problem we had with the Arcade runs. In this case, we should wait untill more Wii/GC runs start being made untill a star should be remotely constdered. Maybe wait untill 10 runs perhaps?

You could avoid slowdown by jumping before frame 2923. It may not save any frames though.
The lag frames dont freeze the game, so there wouldnt be any frames saved there. But thanks! I did some more progress on saturday: Progress I should be well under sub-20 min. now. ^_^

Cool improvements! Here's my take on the water boost: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/860745730/puggsy-water-impro.gmv This should be 3 frames faster than your movie. I'll try to improve the Badger Mill level next & then splice in the mine improvement. EDIT: Ok, Did all the other improvements now: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1856630072/Puggsy%20TAS.gmv Anything else?

I threw the key away & managed to grab the shield. However, due to the trijectory of the key, It landed in a bad position. This would force me to stop my foward movement & grab the key, thus losing time. On another note, I finally managed to get back to where I was before! I was able to salvage most of the previous WIP up to this point too, saving me the time from redoing it. Updated Progress This is now 2025 frames faster than my previous WIP, and 10013 frames faster than Equinox's run.

Awesome! Judging from what I saw, this must be as optimized as it can be for the time being. Great job at using a variety of weapons too. That really made the run entertaining. Heres a chunky Yes Vote for you diggidoyo!

You have to disable SRAM at the beggining of the movie. Otherwise it will desynch.

So I made several improvements to the run & got it synched. I havent checked how much of the run synchs, but the really hard puzzle synched and thats all im happy about at the moment. Progress Its about 6 seconds faster then the previous WIP. Also RT-55J, The final time should be somewhere around 20:30. However, with these big improvements, It might be sub-20:00!

Although it is well done, this wasnt really entertaining. I kinda blame game choice on this one. Sorry Brandon, but No vote.

Wow, so many levels done already! At the first glance, some of it didn't look as I had imagined, so I tried to improve it only to find out that everything was very well TASed! I almost gave up, but suddenly the hook level ended 1 frame earlier: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/863821802/Puggsy-1frame-saved.gmv I guess I got some speed from the bouncing barrel? Maybe more frames can be saved there?
Woah! Nice save there. And yes, it was because your got a speed boost from the barrel. I tried to beat this but havent been able to do so.
Oh, on frame 2973, why was your speed -1 instead of -2?
The speed in this game doesnt really make much sense. Usually it goes to -1 when im plainly walking on the sand since it pushes me up every few steps. This is also why I jump a lot on the sand. Gut sometiones it also goes to -1 when im just on flat ground. Not sure why.
By the way, thanks for the appreciation! :)
No problem dude.

Shoutout to Aqfaq for being a great TASer to work with as well as giving me general feedback on runs.
