Alright, where's the progress Sonikkustar? :O
Right here: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1608593165/SRA.dsm :P This is only v1 of the stage, so the second revision will be much faster.

I believe that [1985] N64 Chameleon Twist 2 by Nahoc in 21:57.27 should get a star. Some things that set it apart: *It's a 3D game, so it would add a bit more variety against most of the 2D movies. *It's not an incredibly well known game unlike most of the games in the starred section. *It is blazingly fast paced for a 3D run. I am SURE that there are better reasons, but I still think that it is good enough for a star.

Stage 3 & Knuckles done! This is the last WIP I'll be posting for this run. All future gmv's will be on my SVN. So go there if you want to see my progress!

It looks to be like there is a 100% TAS now: Link to video Also, That is a nice WIP Tompa! Its nice to know that there are JPN specific glitches as well. That's gonna make things a whole lot less chaotic when it comes to people complaining.

I finally got the chance to watch this. This is an amazing run, especially for a newcomer like yourself nicklegends! It is clear that you did your research & carefully optimized the movie. The movie was also quite fast paced. So here is a strong Yes Vote from me. Nice job! About the Japanese run; I tried out the Japanese version & compared it to the European version. I believe that the Japanese version may be faster by about 1-2 minutes due to the faster framerate. At least thats what it seemed to be since the screen certainly scrolled faster than in the European version. The difference is probably only minor though since your run seems to be syncable on the Japanese version. I think its only a matter of removing frames from the movie. Anyways, this is certaintly better than most first timer movies. :)

Stage 2 Boss Redo! The boss is now a lot more awesome imo. Just constantly slamming the hell out of the jet. You can even see how fast the HP drops under Player 2's health bar!

P.S.: but do not remove the dancing part, whoever made it, is genius :)
I did that part. Thanks for the words! :) Also, Id rather get all the known improvements in before submitting another run because submitting a run just for one Act is rather obnoxious & could lead to insanity like the chain of submissions for Sonic 3 & Knuckles with marzojr.

Stage 2! I have no idea how to only spawn 1 of those jets. So the boss fight could be improved by quite a bit. I'll try & look to see how to do it.

It seems that BizHawk runs arent counted for as valid movie files for the submission queue. I havent been able to submit my new TASes, which makes me wonder how adelikat submitted his Zanac TAS.

This topic should be locked now. Completely diverging from other questions about the run to have this pointless argument about text in a TAS kinda annoys me. And even then, it has just now derived into random name calling & insulting. This still reminds me of the racism in the Majora's Mask thread. Please, if you guys are going to discuss the rules & guidelines of TASvideos, then make a different thread.

Looking at the non TAS speedrun, there does appear to be a way to skip the entire rope ride in Level 3, because he does it there. Whether it's due to something earlier in the level (which the TAS skips over due to all the skidjumping) I don't know though.
He skips one flute mid level that triggers the long rope ride.

Any particular reason you haven't used Skate's throw yet? You have to use it when he's changing sides after having grabbed an enemy.
....I do use the throw. Right at 1:50 infact.

Wow, That was an incredibly fast paced run. I dare say that this is even star worthy! Great job Nahoc! The different routes, the jumping abuse, the parachuting trick & the well planned death warps make this run extremely entertaining. A Strong Yes Vote from me.

@3:00, you slow to a walk. Would teleporting there be unreasonable? I don't remember if the teleport would make you invincible from the fire.
You can use the teleport to get past the fire. It's just that its faster to wait for the flame to go down because the teleport takes a long time to execute. On another note, New WIP!

mklip: The reason its slower is because of version differences. Bablo used a beta dump which is actually against the rules (but, whatever). Dooty's run uses the proper dump, which sadly has some glitches removed from the beta run. So some glitches couldnt be done in this run sadly. On the subject of the movie itself. That was an amazing improvement to the previous run. There seems to also be more stylistic moves, which I enjoy a lot. Yes Vote! What will you do next Dooty?

Some more sort of progress! http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1387538395/Streets%20of%20Rage%202%20TAS.gmv I'm still trying to get used to the game's mechanics & manipulation of enemies. What do you think?

Welp, I was bored. So I decided to try & forsee what a 2-player run would look like with Skate & Max. The results are menacing. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/453188053/Streets%20of%20Rage%202%20TAS.gmv Note: The above run isnt optimized in the slightest. I dont know how manipulation works, so chances are you could save literal seconds off still.

Since there was no topic at SDA for Metal Slug 3, I thought I would post this here. A new run popped up a few weeks ago that completes the game in 25:01! Link to video Theres a lot of new stuff in this run, mostly in the Final Mission. I have a feeling that the Shotguns dropped at 22:08 will drastically change the run.
