Judging from the position of the TNTs, I dont think it would be faster. Looks amazing! I cant wait for the final movie.

Redo I decided to grab the Speed Shoes in Treasure Cove because it wont be for a few more levels that i'll get a chance to obtain them again. I also redid the boss but its still 2 frames slower than maTO's test run. I dont know why. EDIT: I found out its just bad luck. No worries.

x2poet, Could you post WIPs of your run if you get a chance? I would like to look over the strategies that you use for each Mission. Also, Its faster if you pick Fio rather than Marco on the character selection screen.

For a first TAS from the author, I think this is a good job.

Try http://www.mediafire.com/ . I usually use that for a lot of movies that microstorage cant take.

Cool. Looking forward to the complete run Sonikkustar. Will you also go for a run with all the hidden exits later? Cheers!
Probably not. Doing all hidden exits prevents me from getting the ending. Also, My life just got a whole lot more busy. So I might not be TASing in general now.

The constant battles & walking around were kinda grating but the glitching made up for it. Its a shame you couldnt figure out how to teleport instantly to Bulian Site though but nice run none the less. Yes Vote.

DarkKobold:Good improvement. I feel this would have gotten more feedback, had it not been for the Super Mario 64 submission. Accepting.
Does this mean that VBA v24 alpha is acceptable for submissions?

Ok, I finally watched the entirety of this run and I have quite a lot to say. This is the best Metal Slug TAS I have ever seen in my life as of now. The strategies are all very good & the stages flowed really well. The only Stage where I think it could be improved is the Final Mission since you end up with bombs to spare after defeating the final boss. However, I know that the drops the aliens leave are random, so it probably wouldnt make a difference. I liked that you also didnt mimmic input this time around. The problem I had with the other movie was that most of the input was just merely copied or mirrored input of each player. In this movie, Each player was doing their own thing, and I enjoyed the run a lot more because of that. All in all, Yes Vote, Star Vote & Nomination for Arcade TAS of the year. I cant wait to see your run of Metal Slug 3 when you finish it.

First Boss is down. I might want to revise the boss though. I have a feeling it might be improvable.

Thats more of the case of dumb luck than anything.

I decided to try & work on this game since Equinox hasnt said anything in over a year. WIP This beats Stage 1 and is faster than maTO's Test Run by 6 frames. However, since he plays with SRAM enabled, I dont think there is much of a fair comparision.

I watched most of the WIPs, so the new Stage 4 bossfight & Stage 5 were new to me. This run is much more entertaining than the previous run, esecially when you swung your sword to the music in Stage 5. Yes Vote & Congratulations for your first run.

It doesnt really seem all that appealing since most of the time you dont do anything really suprising. The fact that this is an autscroller doesnt necessarily help either. No Vote. I didnt really catch this when you posted it on the MSX Forum. However, I would say that due to its very limited opportunities, that this is a bad game choice.
