If you die after a certain amount of time after the stage ends, it wont take away a life.

However, I do realize that it doesn't look nice if a run is obsoleted by a longer one whose additional length comes from the "more accurate" emulation of the game.
I dont think this is really a main issue given how large the improvement is right now. But I think thatthis will be in consideration for other movies. Hopefully not any new ones arent conflicted.

I did a workaround to the edit problem, and I managed to hex in the entire capsule sequence. The boss needed a redo though due to the stalagtites. It sure kicks a lot more ass now! I'll wait for FuzZerd to post a WIP when were done with Oil Ocean, but you guys will be in for a suprise. ;)

Sorry for the double post, but I just want to see how this is going FatRatKnight. This is the only game that I know of where it forces you to be entertaining.

Are you serious people? I leave for 2 days and another fucking fight breaks out? I just read this whole debate from start to finish and im going to tell you everything I want to say about it. This debate is unreasonably stupid. Its bad enough that you people are giving serious criticism on a random video, but you also managed to insult and probably scar the author in the process. Synx, Just because a TAS is better than the current published one doesnt meant that it should be submitted here. Have you ever considered that the author doesnt care about the site or doesnt even want his work being spread around? Grunz, Seriously. Stop being such an insensitinve racist prick. You just assumed that just because he finished this TAS, he would automatically submit it here. I also understand that he hexed a lot of your WIP to use in his run. However, you shouldnt act so childish and complain about it in every post you make. I cant believe you even call him a troll after he posted his apology. That was just plain rude. Swordless, Its nice to see that you arent as brutal to abeshi as before. But that doesnt give an excuse to give an entire synopsys on why you think this movie should be rejected. Youre basically acting like Grunz except not as childish. I know that this is annoying to here over and over again, but remember the purpose of this site and TASes as a whole as written by the Precursor himself: "Our runs may not be perfect (if that is even possible), but are still high quality and aim to be as entertaining as possible ." Obviously, looking at abeshi's post, He says that he created his run only for nicovideo. Nothing else. So you people should stop trying to ask and bribe him into submitting this. That is all.

We have saved over a second in MC1, and were trying to hex it in ASAP. However, the editor im using refuses to edit anything so this may take a while.

Wow, Thats a nice WIP FatRatKnight. Keep it up! EDIT: I might as well contribute something to this huge project. New Boss Strat I completely autofired this, so there are probably several frames you can save. EDIT 2: About 10 frames faster

If I remember correctly there is one frame that can be saved in the last Bowser fight thus bringing the time to 5:04.70, but last time I checked I assumed that sadly they didn't want to include it because it doesn't look as good and keep the current way to end the Bowser fight as a speed/entertainment tradeoff.
In all honesty, This speed/entertainment tradeoff doesnt look any cooler. Then again, its just my opinion. Also, happy 157 yes votes! You guys deserve it.
