The 2nd one takes a few attempts on trials. for 100% I say it's not needed because of Chicken hunt but I'm not quite sure. The first one is a backup incase you break those boxes... also it can be used to get to that crystal earlier.

I don't know if these could be used for a run (both tas and rta) but I'll show anyway. (2nd one I think not but 1st one maybe.) Link to video 1) At the front of the level there is boxes stacked now if the boxes were broken the backup strat would be jumping on the far right side. 2) To skip the long chase with boulder you can jump around from the fairy with the crystal ontop to the area of the secret area... this one wouldn't be recommended as it is more optimal to talk to the chicken first.

Sorry, that code is avisynth (.avs) I assumed you had that installed it and made the file then dragged that into virtualdub (also updated code because I forgot one part) to view it (because it works that way too).
