Should've mentioned this back on 20th June but I honestly forgot. DSi is coming. More info about it can be read on these 4 links: http://melonds.kuribo64.net/comments.php?id=94 http://melonds.kuribo64.net/comments.php?id=96 http://melonds.kuribo64.net/comments.php?id=97 http://melonds.kuribo64.net/comments.php?id=99 The related source code can be found here: https://github.com/Arisotura/melonDS/tree/melonDSi Also to note, EZGames has quoted me on a feature request for a list of requirements needed for it to become a TASing emulator. https://github.com/Arisotura/melonDS/issues/463 melonDS also has functional OpenGL scaling for the people that don't want to see pixels around the screen at 2 times (or more) on 3D games. It even defeats our resident DeSmuME emulator in graphics and performance in this field. That has been released for some time now. Weakest point as people still point out is the sound quality, which personally I haven't had any issues with.

I'll do this only once as this is a major update in terms of performance to how it was initialized and what comes with it in terms of debugging features. Honestly great job Sour. https://github.com/SourMesen/Mesen-S/releases/tag/0.2.0 This release greatly improves accuracy, compatibility and adds support for some of the enhancement chips. The vast majority of (supported) SNES games should play without any issues - if you find problems in a game (freezes, graphical bugs, etc.), please report them! General • Greatly improved timing/accuracy for everything: CPU, PPU, SPC, DMA, etc. Including: ◦ Numerous PPU fixes - graphical issues have been fixed in several games. ◦ Freezes in several games have been fixed by improving the SPC emulation accuracy. • Support for games using the DSP-1/2/3/4 and ST010/ST011 enhancement chips. Note: A firmware is required for these - the emulator will ask for the firmware when loading a game that requires one. • Libretro support • Added a number of UI options (mute in background, etc.) and corrected a few UI problems. Debugging • SPC debugger window (along with breakpoints, watch, labels, etc.) • Sprite viewer • Lua scripting • Improved usability and added new features to tile/tilemap viewers • DMA channel filters for the event viewer • Misc. debugger features (break options, disassembly options, etc.) • Ability to log the SPC and DSP-n chips in the trace logger. • CC65/CA65 source code and symbols integration • Labels/comments in the disassembly view

Mate, we know you've already placed the userfile and made a comment about it. People are still going to give their thoughts about this, the judge will change it eventually. Don't get tight and put yourself on a loop. Edit: Also it has been literally one day. Holy Jesus, chill.

Watch as they bump old submissions threads such as this one from 7 years ago for no real reason. It's even better by the fact that you deleted the video.

Thanks for pointing that out Sherlock. You're checking between what can be noted as two very different states for this emulator, of course there's going to be major enough differences where game desyncs... What is with your posts? Mothrayas even told you what version when you were "rejecting it" cause it was "incorrect".

Oh delightful. There's a part 2 to all this. Well at least the knowing what the hell he's on about on TASVideos is now known even if it required scratching the hair off my head and now the extended information to slander. Unfortunate that he tried to make the same invalid stuff on srcom and has been banned there a few times most of them are ban evasions. NESexpert this is a joke. aiqiyou if you want to translate what we're saying from English to Chinese due to his poor proficiency then it's open for you. Can't believe the further story to it, even up to the point of pretending to be someone else.

Looking about at other hacks on romhacking I don't think this is the best choice of hack to go with. Googie City, Star Wars, Binary City are the notable three I had a glance at. The first being a somewhat vanilla mod and the other two being a bit more enhanced and more above and beyond. Not to dismiss this hack, but when there is comparison that can be quickly drawn from, it does put a bit of a different shine on this. Unfortunately for the hack not being well there for me and in the entertainment field I'm giving it a low meh.

Oh I get it. NESexpert is upset that someone is playing two category extensions of Contra (Laser and Machine Gun Only respectively) to speedrun cause they want to have fun with a game and NESexpert wants a pure speedrun from them (which they did). Unfortunately talking about RTA world is completely irrelevant to this site especially when personal. You've got a problem that they have a WR in a category extension? Cool, keep it to yourself or beat it yourself. He's not even claiming WR on the Descriptions or the Video Titles, only funnily enough the split timer from livesplit which is automated. nice meme NESexpert. I was honestly scratching my head on your vagueness of this and now that I figured it out, it's sad. NESexpert understand this. Stop the unnecessary irrelevant callouts. Cool? Cool. Whoever wants to translate this to Chinese be my guest. It'll probably help make more sense to them.

Early on it looked like there's movement concerns but for the length and the platform this game is being played on I ain't checking. This is a good opening TAS for Undertale and I will be voting Yes. Screenshot Suggestion: Anywhere at 30:01 (alternatively 33:47). frack yes anime is real Also totally can't wait for a 4/8k publication so the bitrate doesn't go to hell on you know who.

To respond to feos' really important question that wasn't answered by the person who should answer it, I'll answer it for them. No, there has been past events where TASVideos TASes weren't featured in a case nearly the entirety of it wasn't TASVideos content.
dwangoAC wrote:
It just happens that this particular event was made up almost entirely of content that was not from TASVideos.
Neither was AGDQ 2019 then (technically). Neither was almost the entirety of SGDQ 2018. Neither was AGDQ 2018 then (technically). Neither was AGDQ 2017 then (technically). Neither was AGDQ 2016 then (technically). So what makes this different? This makes no sense on any front whatsoever. If this goes on your personal YouTube account. I'll bring these questions out: What makes TASVideosChannel the hub that generates zero profit an outlier especially if this is the first time it's brought up? Is it because your slowly gaining the success on your personal account that you can finally take care of yourself, by having people go to your channel to watch a fully archived version of what the ambassador? Yes, I'm pulling strings from the air because seriously, this is the first time it's been brought up even though we do have accountability of previous events in that technical fault of what you're stating. Also cause one of the three TASes featured was Celeste "red berries" I'll just point this out. Even though the final version won't be the same. Celeste did get submitted 6 months after it was featured at SGDQ18 with some more optimizations to it. On a technical fault account Celeste can be ignored in not being content from TASVideos. To simplify. On a "technical fault" most (2/3rds) of SGDQ19's content is TASVideos.

I think it was resubmitted cause the author was on about providing their own encodes not realising the rejection message stating information for a better run? As for this one specifically it was an author cancellation with a resubmission for their own encode as they're unaware of being able to edit submission text? But that doesn't make sense since they found the cancel button. So figuratively speaking this one hasn't been judged accordingly and should be done so now?

Copying text from Wikipedia is not illegal.
I think it's because my points were too close together in the same sentence.

I was bringing up Wikipedia and another site at the same time and looking at how it's written I understand how it's believed taking from Wikipedia was the legality concern. This can be due to me writing "a site we don't mention" and not "another site which I won't mention" I'll still agree on the lack of information to the submission text, as that's still strongly required for this game... which now has information that's making me go "what?" on now, but it's an improvement.

This game also came out in Europe. So it means it was only sold in the West. Surprised you used Wikipedia to gather the information about the whereabouts of where it released but came to the conclusion it also didn't come out in Europe/Australia. Also why did you even bring up this information in the first place? Was it to confirm your suspicions on why you've never heard about the game?

I don't know why people are reencoding something that's literally about to be published by a publisher soonish. (with a fix version like last time) Edit: Well when: https://youtu.be/YxVveZ_aD_0?t=2402 / https://youtu.be/xa5pH50ALUo?t=2406 Gets fixed that is... which will now happen at a later date. Since I have created an encoded version which is camhack + graphic fix, where appropriate with normal and I rather not push it with the random errors in its current state as I don't want to see questions about someone wondering why the publication was fine as when they run the script they have errors. Basically as much as I have used it and have a script that's complete. I don't want to showcase something that's not 100%. I will wait for this update to the script fixing the problems and any other issues that did go unnoticed.

What? I mean I have confirmed sync on this TAS, that video is correct. So "a YouTube video" isn't right when it's "their YouTube video", which I can vouch for as I was able to sync.

This too has been explained on what it is, mainly by copy pasting my comments, but it is there on what has been adjusted. Also the author has said in regards to the submission... albeit in private so I had to throw it publicly.
TheRandomMaster wrote:

So this is just down to waiting for the author to expand on their submission text when they have the time, or come with your own actual solutions on why you don't believe this shouldn't be accepted. This might be a language barrier thing between Japanese -> Google -> English. So maybe writing what you mean in your native language might help point your case better? --- Note: I haven't voted yet, I might refrain from doing so now. The movie was done well, but as this is the author's first submission with a technical game I am concerned for it as it might not all be fast and there might be an obvious pitfall someone who has Sonic knowledge to be able to point out.

We get it, you like to copy wikipedia and a site we don't mention since legalities. You also like canceling the same submission and resubmitting it. All this is, is a hack on the original game. Sonic 2 Styled Spin Dash, Sonic Megamix homing attack, An Air Roll, The Air speed cap removed, and Mini Sonic can spin-dash. Also that's all you had to write. You didn't have to copy wikipedia and site I won't mention for this information vomit you have in your text. Do you actually have any comments towards your TAS and how it was made or what you did or are you just going to use wikis to explain it? Do you have an encode or nothing at all to show this off? And can you stop hitting cancel, please. You'll become a restricted user soon with all this spam.
