Thank you for introducing nothing to the project Sam. This is not what you believe the topic is on about. We do not care about your progress nor anyone's for that matter on any upcoming submissions here, especially when the entire point of this thread is dedicated to old PCSX-RR movies. An emulator that is no longer an accepted for submissions for a few years now. The entire point about this thread has been indicated at the start of it. I will not be rehashing information that you can read. If you want to talk about PlayStation Abe go to their dedicated pages and not here. If you for some reason need help here's Oddysee and here's Exoddus.

So the method of attack has now been updated on how to go about this. 2 Resyncs are required. A Resync done in the Windows XP operating system. And a Resync done on anything that isn't a Windows XP. The XP OS is able to have less to no jumps in gameplay and the non-XP OS is a backup for when anything fails on the XP OS in the resync it won't desync on the backup. This was information I was trying to figure out on why there was skipping on a non-XP OS for Windows for when a resync was being made. One with, and one without Skip SPU Loadstate.

Question. Why was the branch altered from "max score" to "high score", is it because it doesn't obtain the maximum score the game allows? To me if it goes above $500000 then it's already a "high score". Now I haven't watched this yet, but to an assumption you decimated that score didn't you?

Yes it is. Unless you mean it's not meant to be displaying the word "Subscribe" instead of "Unsubscribe" then it's dependent on the user and a 1 in a million, or the chance you're browsing their content subscribed and have 50 million tabs open. Also always important, update your browser. This kind of hits hard the fact with you believing YouTube is still using Flash. (Yes, there are Add-Ons that do this but still to the fact) YouTube actually fixed a bigger subscription bug last month iirc. I noticed channels I was subbed to but thought all they stopped uploading content when their last upload was literally a day ago. (SO MUCH CONTENT TO CATCH UP ON) And an actual bug YouTube had was automatically subscribing you to channels. There were a handful of channels I was unsubbed from about a year or so ago and suddenly their content was back on my feed. There was also a single channel I knew I was definitely never subscribed to in the first place. Then again I am saying this whilst being part of YouTube since 2008.

Spikestuff upload thing that goes to final input. Spiked the input to go to that final A input. That's 746 frames of blank after that A input. A judge will replace that for you, so don't worry about the time difference.

feos, unless the author's intentions changed. The extended input was not meant to replace the submission file. Much like similar TASes that have extended input as a second file that haven't been replaced. Taechuk can obviously speak about their intentions of that input but that's where it stood last as a file that doesn't replace.

I do not want to talk about the pain and misery that was YouTube breaking 3D encodes and YouTube deleting 3D encodes but they're not actually deleted and Youtube's stating they are and having to learn and create a visual appeasing 3D encodes for VBoy. Those were fun times. I'm pretty much stating that some of us on staff actually give a rats ass. I'm personally spearheading a few encoding projects for example; DSRedux (32.6%), PSXjinRedux (23%) and Gensdux (Who wants to make a 20x16 table containing 340 gens movies%?). One of those 3 is a pain in the ass... and the other one is dealing with positioning DS placements. The main goal of the Redux project I personally have going is to actually have all old TASes to be presentable on TVC at 4k60fps+ that's including those already existing at 1440p/1080p60fps on TVC. And as a little note. Encoding takes time. If you want to reference a certain incident from last year. That was a time period of around 2 to 3 weeks (probably more I forget) to get out 50+ reencodes for very basic encodes. And to do a little spoiler. There are some TASes that cannot be reencoded due to no sync information or provided files gone in the wind. This hits some Arcade/FBA TASes such as infamously: [1342] Arcade X-Men vs. Street Fighter "playaround" by SDR in 11:38.38 & [1600] Arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "4 players" by DarkKobold in 12:14.85 Also melted encodes are relatively newish. If you want to see something scarier than melted encodes and unsyncable TASes - Click Here - to claim your prize in curiosity.

I mean you say you play Tekken 3 that means you know the content of Tekken 3. And of course that means you know the content of Force cause that's why we have this TAS. So I got to ask what's so questionable about what Warepire wrote? You and I both know that all iterations of Tekken Force is collecting those 3 keys to enter the cave Dr. Bosconovitch resides and defeat/free him. You're doing the full content of Tekken Force that way and which literally 3 of us have stated you skipped content of going through the pain that is Tekken Force and doing a final loop. It's estimated that in IGT the TAS would be ~27000 frames and if you can get Mokujin-Yoshimitsu on all 4 accounts that would also knock the TAStime down a notch as well. This brings in the fact you shot yourself in the foot, thanks to Mokujin's existence in Yoshimitu's route of Tekken Force. The major changing RNG of the entire game's content, can you force a same character from this Wooden Person? I'm not forgetting that fact that you didn't get the optimal Mokujin in this TAS. --- Even if Content is literally the same per round, per key it's 3 rounds and a rescue mission. The entire point of Tekken Force is to literally force your way through the same rounds of enemies and unlocking Dr. B. The time is going to be sub 10 anyways for a TAS. Do you want a suggestion for changing RNG? You're not going to like it, I certainly don't either. Mix things up, change the difficulty settings. Want another suggestion, change characters. Yes, I'm also spewing on this suggestion but regardless. Top 4 on already available: Yoshimitsu, Paul, Nina, Law. There, content. --- Lastly, this TAS doesn't only have a loop issue. It has a SRAM issue as I've alluded to with you in private (which is seen in my post). Personally I very much dislike there isn't any visual confirmation that Hard difficulty was enabled and the fact that you're using Quick Select for a character that's one position away. But this is the minor issue to the actually elephant in the room. I want to see you argue this point as it is part of the movie rules.
Movie Rules wrote:
We do not allow save-anchored movies However, there are certain games with unlockable modes, second quests, or other things of interest that can only be accessed if a save file (or an otherwise "dirty" SRAM) is present. If you really wish to submit a movie made on such a mode, you will need a verification movie made and provided alongside it. Any input file that starts from power-on (for example, a previously submitted movie for that game) and creates the exact circumstances for your submission to sync will generally do.
We can argue right here that using SRAM in Tekken Force to skip key collection does not fall under these exceptions. Tekken Force is a mode that's unlocked from the very beginning of the game, the only modes that fall under this for Tekken 3 is Tekken Ball and Theater Mode. This movie is starting at the final loop with SRAM. And the only people that have talked and voted out about it are people who actually play Tekken. There are 4 yes votes that haven't given their opinions yet... unless EZGames69's comment of "Chicken 3" is a yes vote then he does whatever.

Why walking the whole time instead of jumping? Short answer: In this game, walking for the whole level (especially stage 0,10,20,30) is ~100 frames faster.
Since it's apparently so important to be on the ground as soon as possible why wasn't it done? I'm going to show 3 examples where my input that I made on a whim where it's important to stick to that floor. All cases; Left me, Right Melodies. Now, I'm not skilled at doing TASes for platformers. But anyone can assess that you weren't on the ground soon enough. Also this game has cycles, so something like 7 can have a different starting compared to another 7 (like this submission and feos having the same 7 compared to mine). I wasn't holding this information for 2 weeks I swear.

When is Strider 2 getting an improvement? Link to video To note this is faster than this submission by 172 frames. I am curious how this compares to the few userfiles to this game.

In doing so, you created a TAS that's almost 2 times slower than your other submission. And slower than the only available speedrun that exists for this game (when looking at RTA timing): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lXKLMZIMaY So, can you explain why it's 7 minutes slower?

According to Dolphin. 5.0-10293 was released 10 hours before this TAS was submitted. I have a lot of doubt on this movie.

My main point against it is that it comes off as an advertiser thing with that additional sentence. CLICK HERE, TO WATCH SOMEONE ELSE DO YOUR WILDEST FANTASY BY MESSING AROUND IN GRAND THEFT AUTO BUT THEY'RE FAST. Again, the option of a rewrite with the other sentences is on the table as feos mentioned, but what it currently says in my opinion shouldn't exist at all, it comes off as baity. Here's the short convo I had with feos on the 27th April about it:
<Spikestuff> The addition to the description is unnecessary.
<feos> is it clear already?
<Spikestuff> yes
<feos> but is the addition bad, or just not so good?
<Spikestuff> both.
There is a month later version (aka today), but creating a cohesive story out of that, yeah no thanks. The short version of that is, Spike and feos do a dance and feos decides to post it here.

JUMP! 18 frames shaved from ending input. Edit: This TAS achieves 2 Death Abuses. You have 2 and 4 down. This is 1, 3 and 5 as a single gif:

I took it upon myself to watch that SMB2J submission. Here is my feedback: For all levels, I noticed that he did not correctly implement the subspeed manipulation to save half of a pixel at the start of every level. I did not check for whether he manipulated subspeed to shorten the walk to the castle by a frame. 1-1: Optimization looks fine, but it was copied from HappyLee's TAS. 1-2: The beginning of the level was copied from HappyLee's TAS. I did not notice any optimization issues here. 1-3: A framerule can be saved here with better optimization on the mushroom grab. 1-4: Fast acceleration at the start of the level is suboptimal; unoptimized fire flower grab; suboptimal movement around first firebar; suboptimal movement around pillars; still has minor slowdowns during Bowser fight that needs to be corrected. The left-right movement for extended durations may have cost a couple of frames or even a framerule starting here because it slows Mario down to 39.5 subpixels per frame. If I see it, I will refer to it as L+R. 2-1: There is a slowdown at frame ~10060 that is unnecessary; L+R. 2-2: There is a lag frame at the ~12660 frame mark that can be avoided. The wall jump is suboptimal. 2-3: I'm not sure if you can spawn a late cheep-cheep here to glitch through the floor, but if it can be done, it would save seconds; L+R. 2-4: Fast acceleration at the start of the level is suboptimal; duck jump to the platform with the koopa is suboptimal; did not use the ground left+right acceleration after performing the clip; unnecessary slowdown after exiting the wall; L+R; still has minor slowdowns during Bowser fight that needs to be corrected. Based on what I've found here, I wouldn't be surprised if you could cut off 1.5 to two seconds in the first two Worlds alone. 3-1: There is a slowdown around the ~18900 frame mark that was unnecessary. 3-2: No fast acceleration at the start of the level. That clip around frame 21,700 does not save time. 3-3: Always use flagpole glitch; L+R. 3-4: There was an unnecessary slowdown around frame 25,930; suboptimal movement through the one block gaps; L+R; still has minor slowdowns during Bowser fight that needs to be corrected. 4-1: There is an unnecessary slowdown around frame 29,080. 4-2: Nothing pops straight out at me in this level. There are a few micro optimizations that I would have if I made my own TAS, but they wouldn't save time. 4-3: Nothing pops straight out at me in this level. There are a few micro optimizations that I would have if I made my own TAS, but they wouldn't save time. 4-4: Fast acceleration at the start of the level is suboptimal; there is no fast acceleration after clipping into the wall; the Bowser fight was clearly suboptimal and can be done without slowing down. I've seen enough.

I'll have to agree with Warepire on this one. Skipping loops essentially with a SRAM is questionable... and is even more questionable when this is a Fighting TAS. For me it really doesn't matter on Entertainment if the loops were done or not, my vote will be staying at Meh. I haven't properly sat down to watch this yet so I'll come back with an edit to go over it more. ThunderAxe has answered some of my questions which I'll go over with that shortfire of Q&A included in that edit. Good Job making it. It's just skipping content with a SRAM adds a bit of salt. --- Edit: Several hours later, and here's the edit. My vote is definitely a Meh. Great Job creating it but the comments I've already made looms over it. So, shortfire Q&A (or Statements & Answers) I had with ThunderAxe. S: Also the game has loops. :V T: I know, for that reason I did check if the loops where the same and surprisingly, they even have the same RNG... S: There's a difference. T: Dr. Boskonovitch fight? S: Yup T: I know that's why I started from SRAM for having three keys right away iirc Dr. Boskonovitch can fought only once S: Wait you started from SRAM. For a fighter movie? Oh that's brave. T: I know it's not 100% accepted S: Hope you have a backup. T: Well, the game turned out incredibly sync friendly I could just copy paste the loop in fact, the first minute of the verification movie has the same inputs (except menuing) S: Also Mokujin is a concern if you didn't get Yoshi. If you get Moku-Yoshi you save loading. T: I noticed that Mokujin gave a different loading depending on who was mimicking, so i did just go with some trial and error S: Did you throw an attempt with a pause buff? Or started the mode a frame late? T: Yes I started the mode 1 frame late because of a frame rule starting the mode later doesn't affect RNG *Spikestuff started watching the movie* S: So you just gave me something that I don't want to talk about, and now I'll have to. *Shows an image of the Namco Presents Screen with the word "Hard" from the lua script* S: SRAM places you on Hard, not Normal. So you don't change it in settings. T: Ok then I'll hex the movie I'm sure it will resync S: I think you'll lose desync at Mokujin. T: Why is that important to show it that I'm setting hard? Menuing is fast that you can hardly see it anyway also, difficulty setting is not a hard requirement (no pun intended) S: Indication of it. T: Whatever, tomorrow I'll see if I can resync it --- To quickly touch on Mokujin right now for those that don't know: Loading a Mokujin-Yoshimitsu saves the most TAStime than any other Mokujin character, as the character's data you're playing is present and all the game has to do is a copy+paste. For IGT time for the curious. Stage 1: 1566 Stage 2: 2479 Stage 3: 1155 Stage 4: 1457 Dr. B.: 203/283

Fun fact. At every split the audio/video should progressively desync. And a suggestion to this, there's a very obscure lossless codec that exists. Ut Video. Crazy Amounts of Colours not Big Resolution for Genesis that is (just letting you know).

My vote is Meh it was borderline a Yes for me. I didn't turn off from the video and especially with Wile E. Coyote gaining on you I was actually more focused watching this. The main curiosity that will drive me to the end will be the mountain ranges. But it has that improvement of .32 seconds over the previous movie (spiked one) to what I assume came from this level. It is a much more engaging TAS to watch over the previous one.
