It would probably be better to list them as the co-authors to this TAS.

I think that extends the question to "What sections of this TAS uses andymac's TAS?" as well. Basically. Should both authors whose input were used be credited as authors on this movie? Transparency would be nice here.

It doesn't affect the run using 2023-08-09 (even tho I downloaded 08-10). As well as the title being a 600x450 game, so it wasn't "wrong" in the first place.

Superman throws an explanation stating you need a bios, so you need to find that file that it's telling you about then follow these steps, or throw that bios into the superman.zip file.

Here we go again. 🎯 Hopefully compared to Time Crisis this has a value that corresponds to the flash and can still continue to register hits.

sitting here looking at their fm2 that was slowly gathering dust over the past 7 years. Yeah... also thanks for keeping it as a single ship, it was always better than a dual ship. And yeah, this is also a full completion. Wouldn't branch it in my opinion... finally a proper, complete Galaga TAS has hit TASVidoes.

I'm iffy on the "Take damage save time" call. The player is stunned for an amount of frames before being able to attack again. It looks like it's more preferable to avoid taking damage and be more creative in attacking and it's probably more advantageous if the game has some form of light manipulation to proceed your attacks on those bosses. The tanking looks unnecessary and might actually be more of a issue for the TAS where you're losing frames for not going over it.

I'm just going to provide what I wrote from the previous submission to highlight Memory's comment.

So first, the Ruffle exclusive bug I deliberately avoided, as it's only possible within libTAS and that's shooting elements that are off screen*. This means that I kept to the 600x450 screensize, validated in flash, and found out I can only shoot in a 1 to 599 on the horizontal field, as for the vertical all elements are already on screen, and the scrolling is fixed in the one case it does become a concern.
*Clarification. I'm referring to the fact that window resizing is not used to shoot elements/targets that are off-screen prior to starting a run.

Hello 89o and Welcome to TASVideos. Unfortunately as you chose the Newgrounds version you run yourself into some unreliable API shenanigans, which can lead to desync of your run. The second issue, is that I've been unable to get your run to sync, what build of ruffle are you using? Such as "nightly-2023-04-30" or "nightly-2023-07-02". "Ruffle 0.1.0 nightly" doesn't really help in this situation, but I didn't have libTAS complaining when I was using nightly-2023-04-30 even though an image you provided on the Discord comes from a later build. But the other issue of being unable to sync your run is that the position you aim your clicks are off, as if you changed your window bounds, or perhaps you're using a scale in your environment such as 150% as the image on Discord suggests with the UI in that image being 36 pixels tall instead of 24. Lastly, your input is unfortunately improvable. Say if we dropped to your final input which is 3432 frames (I was unable to validate this due to above issues) this is about 329 frames slower than what I'm providing here (UI at 100%, an encode is linked within the userfile page). Part of it is because I grabbed the Armor Games' release which cuts out Newgrounds' shenanigans, but another is that there's some slight input errors in your TAS, but I couldn't gather as information to sync your run as the information wasn't provided. As a note: There isn't any gameplay differences between v1.2 and v1.4 so it can be directly compared to one-another, but not from boot due to the extra stuff coming from Newgrounds. This is a good start and honestly don't give up, but please take a little bit more time polishing.

So besides being multi-audio in the main encode, it's also multi video: But that doesn't mean I didn't make single video tracks, cause I did:

Unfortunately your TAS is about 39 seconds slower than this TAS which came out 5 years ago, and using the preferred NTSC version: Link to video Please take your time and use the tools available to you in BizHawk and use the userfiles. Go again when you've optimized all you can.

Just for the sake of pointing out. The TAS features were actually redone recently during the massive overhaul that it had as of November 2022 (for TASing improvements). It's improved comparatively in the past but it still has teething problems. Looking at the Pull Requests it looks like it's about to have another major update if it all works out (but still with teething problems). TASing is getting addressed by the team which is great... but in my opinion PCSX2 video dumping is poor as it's dumping at a single resolution (711x486, with Active Area) instead of multi-resolutions as the system operates (open the PCSX2 tab if you're curious).

What's with this "no longer be published" thing that everyone's on about? The TAS will get Published regardless of length. Besides Final Fantasy is a multi-disk title. The obvious break point is at the end of whichever disk is complete.

Hello Gameboy_DMG001and welcome to TASVideos. Unfortunately, there's visible errors in regards to your movement, and portal placements. In Chamber 5 a Portal 2 TASing user who goes by sear dropped a video in the TASVideos Discord completing this Chamber in 10 seconds with their starting point being within the elevator and dealing the more intended solution, compared to your 15 second completion with the door clip. Chamber 7 for instance seems faster just to do the intended movement. Chamber 8 you stutter your movement off the platform, but also noted by sear they had this comment about movement and portals which seems like it's perfect to exploit in this level if you don't have the normal momentum as expected of this chamber.
sear wrote:
not much movement tech other than moving diagonally doesn't cap your speed than moving in any other direction
The homebrew is also under active development with the latest release coming out 5 days ago at the time of writing. It's a good demonstration, but more can be cleaned up, and I would probably recommend joining the Portal Speedrunning community and see if they can point you to their TASing community. I'm interested to see where this ends up in the future when the homebrew is completed with all chambers, and the escape sequence intact. Edit: sear's version using the latest patch. Link to video

As a heads up a userfile of this branch already exists which is faster than this submission by 1712 frames.

The area that you're looking for is the user files to upload your drafts instead of it being a full fledged submission.
This is a light truncation for a file replacement to adjust for the better time. Unfortunately the input is still slower than what I provided when the Judge rejected on the first time round by 11 seconds.
