How much time does it actually save? And I'll need to hex my frames in now...

I'm going to continue working on Yoshi's Story today. Manipulation problems in OoA have driven my away from it for a short whlie (I'll pick it back up tomorrow, or the day after) so this gives me a chance to make some more progress here...Sorry I suddenly stopped working on this, but at the time, SM64 (15:08 run) was occupying a lot of my time, and then OoA right after that.

If it's the first time you've ever used it, you have to configure the plugins before use, go to Options > Settings, then select a plugin for each category, then load the rom and load the m64, hopefully it will work.

No, you have to break them, the jiggy is always the last thing that comes out.

I've been watching this run's progress since xenos started it, and I've always been entertained by it. Yes vote.

I did a search for this glitch after I saw the post mentioning it, and tried for at least half an hour to no avail whatsoever. Looking forward to the next WIP, though.

No, I simply S&Q'd after talking to Ambi. That saved around 380. The rest came from optimisations.

No, the reason he gets the star is because he grabs onto the ledge for a frame, if you dive, that won't happen unfortunately.

I'll gladly check it at any stage, and yes, just use the TAS input plugin, it allows maximum precision and isn't difficult to get used to.

Yep. 20 pages and 1 dungeon done. You didn't read it very well, did you? I only started working on it about a week ago. <_<

I made a more optimised version of that. I got it 21 frames faster than in me and AKA's run. I'll have to experiment with more strats to see if it can be reduced further. Nice fidea though.

Do you mind if I ask you for help every now and then? Not at all, ask away.

Looked fantastic, CCM in particular. But PSS looked...questionable. If you are going to do what you did in that level, wait until he's out in the open, and don't just do it once. Do it several times, like FODA's 120 star run's CCM slide.

Swordless Link! You are, if I am not mistaken, the SM64DS glitching legend! The very same. =P *looks at your URL* Are you GlitchGamerX from GameFAQs? You're competing in Robert Z's video quiz as well, right? Do you think you're interested? Perhaps, although I won't be able to do anything for quite a while, because I am currently working on a Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages TAS. I personally think you should try it yourself though. I would keenly watch your progress and it would be a nice game to get you started with TASes. I haven't played this game in quite a number of years though, but I still have a good idea of what you do in it.

I remember playing this game in my younger days (I still have it) and I liked it as well. I would love to see it pushed to its limits. Are you contemplating making a TAS of it?

Thanks. I'm not gonna redo Maku Road, but I'm glad you told me about that pit thing just now, cause I'm in the room in the first dungeon that has pits. =P And alright, I'll keep that in mind, because I was having a bit of trouble with the ghost as well in D1.

WIP ready. I'm in the first dungeon. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5668/Legend%20of%20Zelda%2C%20The%20-%20Oracle%20of%20Ages%20%28U%29%20%5BC%5D%5B%21%5D.vbm Overall, I'm 31 frames ahead of Vespa. I lost some frames with the stalfos, but they just wouldn't manipulate to a better position, so I did the best with what I had. And besides, the fantastic manipulation I got with the gels a little earlier made up for it. The amount of frames gained there was greater than the amount lost by the stalfos. In the first room with the pits, I skipped the block, and just fell in the pit to get back to the door. This was 12 frames faster than pushing the block, and pit walking back to the door. In the area with the Graveyard Key, I found that it was about 3 frames faster to just walk back to the stairs as opposed to falling in a pit and respawning. Enjoy the WIP, I hope to get most, if not all of D1 done today, I'll post it when I've done it. Leave comments please.

GODAMMIT. Fucking stalfos. You know the room in Maku Road (Past) where there's a switch in a series of blocks? I got that perfectly optimised and guess what? The stalfos in the next room were in HORRIBLE positions. So I redid the previous room, getting it a frame slower. They were STILL in bad positions. I've tried about 6 different frames for entering the next room to no avail. God dammit.

I'm taking over for the Oracle of Ages run. I PM'd Vespa the other day and he was fine with it. Instead of continuing from where he left off, I'm redoing it. I'm about halfway through the Maku Road (past) and am (I think) 5 frames ahead so far. Not that much, but what Vespa had done was very optimised, so yeah. I'll post a WIP when I get to the first dungeon.
