by SDA timing, mukki's TAS is around 2:06, not 2:14. Jiano's unassisted run is indeed 3 minutes faster.
2 years of research by a lot of capable people do make quite a difference.

i looked through some of the really old posts in the sda OoT topic a few weeks ago and it looked like kazooie was the first person to post a video of it in that thread. it's funny looking back because everyone was like "okay cool but i don't see how this is useful"

I'm not going to stop to advocate legalizing rugs, because there is virtually no progress and I'm not going to stop to be in favor of gay marrige just because it's hard. First of all, rugs are already legal. ;)

My third point is a more legitimate concern, and focuses less on petty spelling errors. The main problem with this post is that you are making a HUGE false equivalency argument. Are you really trying to make a connection between a video game speedrun website and the civil rights movement? Do you really not see how that does not logically support your argument whatsoever? This is on a MUCH smaller scale than something like the civil rights movement. The two things simply cannot be compared, and I find it offensive that you attempt to do so. Let's try and keep our arguments on the proper level, instead of desperately grasping for something totally irrelevant to try and prove our points.

Weatherton, this is probably a really stupid question, but how do you accelerate so quickly after turning around after the first jump? I have beat you to the item box by about 0.5 seconds, but I cannot figure out to accelerate as quickly as you do.
EDIT: I'm not sure if it beats your new strat though.
I could be wrong, but I believe you accelerate quickly by executing a triple A tap, where you hold A on the last tap.
Judging by how awesome the mario kart 64 and mario kart wii TASes have turned out, I think some mario kart double dash TASes would be awesome ;) It would have to be done by someone who really understands the physics of the game though, as they are rather counter intuitive at times..I may look into doing it myself, but I highly doubt my PC can handle Dolphin.
