I think it would be more appropriate to name it "My QLDC Level (QLDC 2023)". We use this kind of naming when there are homonym game titles. See this example: [4178] NES Angry Birds (Nice Code) by ThunderAxe31 in 07:51.21

So... are we sure there is no way to beat the level at the end? Can you please contact the creators of this hack and ask, please?

I'll copy-paste what I've posted in the other submission: "being silly" is the most intuitive way of describing what a playaround is about, though for this movie the term "glitchfest" may also apply. Anycase, it's not up to me to decide, but I should ask you how you feel about it: do you have any preference? For the rest, there is a movie rule that states that "Playarounds and freeruns must still beat the game". So please, would you like to provide a movie that doesn't completely hardlock the game, and beats the final boss?

Since you re-worked pretty much everything, wouldn't make more sense to put only your name as author of this movie?

I'm the one who came up with this 100% simply because there are nothing more that can be done in the game. There is no score, there are no items, enemies cannot be killed. The game is all about surviving and catching jerry whenever there is a chance. The only thing would be the health, but I don't think it's count as collectable from https://tasvideos.org/PublisherGuidelines#PercentageAndCountsInLabels, probably it would fall under "use labels such as "0%" or "100%" only if there was nothing less or more". But if we consider as "does not have a built-in definition" then it would be under "100% levels" indeed.
Thank you! I like the compromise of a label that isn't too much different from what has been already used in the speedrunning community. It's not up to me to decide though, as I'm not a publisher, but I still felt like I had to bring up the problem. The label itself may not be enough to explain this definition of full-completion, but it's not like it can be any clearer, it's just that the definition itself unavoidably ends up being unconventional. So, a proper explanation will be necessary in the publication page after this movie gets published.

Well, I guess we can stick with the version 1 then. Regarding the warp glitch, at this point I suspect it's a debug leftover.

The only thing that bugs me, is that maybe you want to use a more self-explanatory label for the branch. Maybe something like "100% levels" or "full levels".

Also, I get the feeling that the previous submission did use a built-in warping system, not a glitch. Can someone please look into it? And maybe even contacting the developer.

Well, since my previous post caused to start a big discussion about tracking rerecord counts, I'll wait some days before deciding if replacing it for this submission. Meanwhile, I was wondering if you'd like the idea of producing an additional movie file that aims for 1st place in all tracks. Nowadays we can easily have multiple movie files for the same publication page, so it could be a nice addition for making all kind of audiences happy. Only if you really feel like doing it, though.

Uhm. There seems to be an updated version of the game. Can you please take a quick look at it? https://www.nesmakers.com/index.php?threads/the-drunk-time-travelers-fiancée-byte-off-2020.6545/

Thanks, and where are the mGBA emulator's RAM files stored?
It's in the same folder as where the GBA ROM is present. The filename is the same as the ROM, except that instead of the .gba extension, it has the .sav extension.

What's the amount of the non-botted rerecords? Even if you can't retrieve the accurate amount, a rough estimate would already be good.

Here is a precedent of a published movie getting an additional resynced file made with an updated emulator: [3664] GBC Pokémon: Yellow Version by TiKevin83 in 1:36:41.68

Thank you for your informations, but in this specific case it doesn't matter, because Alyosha already confirmed that for Code Name Viper, movies made with BixHawk do sync on real console, while FCEUX don't.

Congrats again! But why FCEUX instead of Bizhawk ?)
Thanks, when I first time installed FCEUX it was the only emulator I know of so I used it are there any reasons for which I should use Bizhawk ?
Yes there is a reason. FCEUX doesn't emulate NES faithfully, so movies made on it can't be reproduced on real console. BizHawk movies instead can be reproduced on real console. This is important in this case, because the level of TAS optimization for this game is getting to a point where minor emulation differences set a line between faithful and unfaithful emulation. You're still allowed to use FCEUX, but I really wish you started using BizHawk. I've already seen enough controversy about the validity of records for this game...

Now the way you can get around these is if you wait to load the lua script AFTER the lag frames that occur before each level transition.
Sounds like an easy fix to implement in the Lua script. We just need to figure out a good RAM address that tells when the loading starts and ends. Anyway, I'll be busy for at least a week from now, so I can't do it myself for now.

I know it is tempting to abuse the wording of Movie Rules sometimes (I'm sure I did so in the past), but I would be careful not to make it the hill to die on. After all, judges can do anything they want, for any reason (I see this as a good thing, by the way).
I don't think that the judges can do anything they want. I think judges should follow the rules, and they did in fact follow the rules: it's the author that has misinterpreted a rule, and there isn't anything wrong with that. The ones that are free to do anything they want are the submitters (except when plagiarizing). The problem here is that the author insisted that their interpretation of the rules was correct, despite the numerous explanations by staff members, effectively trying to force their own opinion of what the judgement should be. I also tried once to exploit a loophole in the Movie Rules: #6092: ThunderAxe31's GB Rolan's Curse "hardest password, game end glitch" in 04:36.89 This resulted in my submission getting rejected, and the relative rule was promptly clarified. Not modified, just clarified. I tried bringing arguments in favors of getting my submission accepted, but in the end I was explained that I misinterpreted a rule, and I had to acknowledge that. Then I stopped insisting, because I couldn't find anything unfair in the judgement.

On the RTA leaderboard there are "no cheats" categories. What are those cheats, and how are they unlocked in game?

I see I still have the tendency to be conservative, as opposed to the late trend. Your counterarguments look solid and I don't know how to build more my points, so I think there is no point in insisting on my concerns. I'll trust everyone here on the decisions that will be taken about the matter at hand. I'll keep following the developments and I'll let you know if I get more thoughts.
