Karter posted about a glitch with the flute that works only in the GBA version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-se0Yx1vJE&NR=1 This can allow a lot of shortcuts and such. Here's another glitch, the second one in the video is the most interesting one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6hx52x-Cw0&mode=related&search= That can also only be done in the GBA version. Makes Link run pretty fast. You can't use your sword while running, but other items. The running ends if you go to another screen, or jump down a ledge, going into a cave and so on. So it's quite limited. My question is: Shall the future runs be made on the GBA version instead so these glitches can be included? Or make both GBA and SNES runs?

So you weren't able to walljump, that's sad :(. Nice WIP however!

Have been on the water level for awhile now... I was thinking if someone could help me find the RAM speed of Donald? Want to check some stuff... Here's what I have so far. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/363411926/MauiMallardLvl5.smv

When I started to improve Nitsuja's run myself I surely didn't think it could be improved with this much... Really nice job Soul. Yes vote.

Haha, castle 7 looks awesome now :D. Was it only me or did you wait ½ second before you entered the boss? Was that to manipulate him or anything? Very nice so far.

YAY! Congrats Arne you big ass. I can't belive you made such crapp... ehum, I think... I can't belive how you could have done this shi... run. Well done. Really nice jump in the end of Slime Climb, love that glitch. And Parrot Chute Panic is destroying my eyes, ARGH. Stop dying in the movie, lol :D. Bye bye boss music. Couldn't you glitch Castle Crush a bit more? You can only see the Rambi for one frame in the wall, that's sad... You can at least see the golden seal, HEHE. Please help Enguarde, he is stuck on/in the ice :(. How much time was Stronghold improved with? Looks very nice! HEY! That's a false start! Unfair, poor "crow". KK is as sucky as always, poor guy, someone get him a job. Well done Arne's ass, you did a good job with this run! Three more screenshots to suggest: http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g124/Tomtelala/DonkeyKongCountry2-Version1.png http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g124/Tomtelala/DonkeyKongCountry2-Version1-1.png http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g124/Tomtelala/DonkeyKongCountry2-Version1-2.png

Have been very lazy with this run... But here's at least level 4 done. I hate the boss and the last level, and the level between them as well.

Even if I'm not able to make that glitch again I know I've done it, belie me or not. I have done it multiple times on the first lvl, at the first edge before the chuck. I have only done it on PAL, never tried it in NTSC. So that may be the case...

I'm currently trying... Seem to have some problems with it atm. So you don't know you could do it in SMW? I have known this glitch the past like 10 years...

I'm really bad at explaining stuff =P. The same glitch as in SMB3 where you jump with P-speed and land on the edge/corner of the ground and you fall straight through. Have done this a lot of times on console.

About time a SMW TAS that doesn't fly throw all the lvls, because that's (IMO) quite boring to watch all the time. I have been looking forward for this kind of run for a VERY LONG TIME. And I'm really happy to see you two have made it. A lot of awesome tricks were used (VoB2, LOOOL) and I was entertained of it mostly all of the time. But I do have some things to point out: You didn't fully corner boost in the water lvls. No jump on the koopa before jumping on the P-block to say the P-speed? I'm sure that you could have jumped through the corner of the floor sometimes. This has, as far as I know, never been used in a SMW so far. But it should be able to save time somewhere. To those who are complaining to see the "same thing over and over again": You mean seeing a run being obsoleted a lot of times due to more optimized game play shows a "complete new route and tricks" and is so awesome that it needs a star? THAT'S repetetive. YEES.

What happens if you go "outside the map" in a dungeon?

When I was Recording this TAS, I didn't know how to Slow it Down, so now I've figured out that this was a disatrous failure and I deleted it and I probably won't even try again.
You don't need to give up TASing at all! Just learn how to use it and you will be able to make some awesome work.

Yep. 20 pages and 1 dungeon done.
Dezbeats is in the third dungeon of OoS atm. Vespa finished dungeon 2 in his last WIP. But Swordless Link has taken over, and he remade the run and have so far saved around 2 seconds. So I agree with Yautja, read again.

Mugg: Are you going to do a TAS which includes all levels (Not skipping them with the pipe glitch)? That would be interesting to see.
