scooty: Yes, http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php is what we usually use for emulator files.

After what, half a year of deafening silence you suddenly submit it? :D Congrats on the first 4-player TAS ever!

Haven't watched it yet, will do this evening, but this has me wondering: >A memory watch tool would help optimize this part, ... Why didn't you use the one that Gens has then? ------ Also, this submission doesn't show up on the recent changes page. It looks like if it has been flagged as minor edit. I suggest that this shouldn't be possible for New pages, or minor edits merged with New page creations.

I am working on it, but slowly (since my thesis is killing me at the moment). I'm still on the first level. For your two suggestions: 1) Yep, already am. 2) We'll see about this one. :>

I enjoyed it, but i fear you are missing something on that fourth level if there is an unassisted record that's that much faster.

Nooooes :( I can't blame you since I don't get much done either, but I really wanted to see this.

Slow game, and nothing much happens. Substituting bosses with the pizza eating "game" is the worst... Purple idiot in bunny costume: I will eat... 2 pizzas! Red idiot in bunny costume: But I will eat... 3 pizzas! Purple idiot in bunny costume: Drat. I should have picked a higher arbitrary number. :( I vote no.

All the screenshots look good... but I still can't run it. :( I can offer my opinion anyway. I know all these are low priority, but anyway: >TODO::Add FinalBurnAlpha support? The format has to change before it can be accepted here, if you implement it before that happens (which could be never) you will need to rewrite it. >TODO::Add GMV2 support? (not sure if the format is completely defined yet) The format might change slightly, yes. So far no emulator supports it, but it's on Upthorn's list of features for Gens 10. So hold off until then at least, I'm sure it will be very wanted then. >TODO::Add Nestopia, VirtuaNES support? (not sure if it's even necessary) I wouldn't put any coding time on those. Nobody uses them for TASing at least. I'm not good at drawing, but I'll see if I can put something icon-looking together.

If the choice is between one with easy bosses and lots of dialogue, and one with hard bosses and less dialogue, I think the answer should be obvious.

Is it really faster to take damage in all those places? It looks like Tom disappears while you are knocked back, so it would be faster to wait for him to do that. When jumping in the arm chairs, you start with a very minimal jump. Take a big jump before entering and you will save yourself a few bounces. It looks like sliding on the stair railings is faster than running, but you don't do it as often as you could. It looks like you lose running speed at times when you could have avoided it. Seemingly unnecessary hit around 32890 and another one right after that. Unless you have good reasons for these actions, I will vote no.

I'm really horrible at lying. I can't do it convincingly even when I need to do it, to get out of major trouble or not hurt other people's feelings. That too: I hurt people's feelings. Most of the time I don't realize I do. I waste obscene amounts of time on the internet instead of doing what I should. If I need to study I never do it at home, I go somewhere where I can be at a safe distance from any computers. I recently pulled out my network cable on the computer where i'm writing my thesis so I could get something (anything) done. I look down on people who I feel are not as smart as me.

We don't have a help section on RAM viewers at the moment. The basic idea is to narrow down a RAM position in memory by checking against a condition several times (such as "it decreased from last time i checked"). Then you can monitor that value directly, and be sure that you hit the boss with the strongest weapon, that you use the fastest method of movement, etc.

Are you sure hitting the walls are a good idea stylistically? I think it will look less bad to wait a while in the beginning instead. Also the +3 second penalty means your time isn't really 0'05'78.

I think it was good promotional material back when it was made. I'd like to see a new one made, but everyone who has tried so far has given up and/or disappeared.

First time you search submissions don't show up. But on the results page, the "Include submissions" flag is set, and the next time you search (from that page), it will show up. It's a bit confusing, I know. Unchecking submissions and checking obsoleted movies doesn't show Hydlide, like expected.

Oops, that was me counting with my nether regions. I don't know how the heck I got 1 minute and 43 seconds. Anyway, it was already fixed when i checked now, so no worries.

I'm not sure I understand why anyone would want to play (or TAS) a bad hack of a bad conversion of what was once an okay game.

ZeXr0>And I don't think that you should vote no only because and the game shouldn't be like that. Please vote on the run itself and not on the game. Not liking the game is a perfectly good reason to vote no. See the Guidelines. The question is if the movie is interesting to watch, and the game obviously plays a part in this. You are right that you should always watch the movie before watching, and that an explanation of your vote is always appreciated (even if it's a Yes). JXQ: Will do.

It's kind of funny, but also obvious that he's doing it on purpose.

I watched through the movie you posted first... it's not badly played, but I don't understand why anyone would put this on the list of ideas. The game really lacks possibilities to anything interesting.

Yeah, Randil! Of course you should. Go first 4-player movie in TAS history!

I've been meaning to ask. Is "3" supposed to look like a mouth? At all? Is it a smiling individual with cleft? Or a deformed nose? A pair of breasts? Someone holding his palms together in front of him?

Xyphys: I know. What I wrote was unclear, but that was a comment on the game and not the movie.

Hello stanski. Sounds like a good run you have made there. I wanted to tell you that Quietust is spelled without an L (and the same mistake is on the comments on SDA).
