Watched trough it quickly this morning. The two first bonus rounds were great, but the last one with the barrels was very unimpressive. You could have made it a lot more interesting by using more than the same one move the whole time. I'll comment on the fights themselves once I watched trough the other movie again for comparison. But I can say this: It seems you are aiming a lot for time and less for entertainment. Is this correct?

A numeral voting system for published movies has been suggested for a while and is on the Todo page. If it gets done, and there is a way to list movies descending after this stat, this would come into realization. Is it something like that you would like to see?

How about a Browny + Fang version then? Or do the bosses get more life in two player games? I remember Fangs charge-up weapon as being a big dissappointment. Doesn't do any damage at all. Am I missing something? I remember his punch being very strong (but it can only shoot in one direction), and his upgraded A weapon too.

>Is there anyway to turn off the darkness layer in Gens? I'd do much better at level 4-2 if I could see all the sprites all of the time. I have looked for this feature too. Playing in the blind is very frustrating. So far haven't found any such feature... I haven't watched your run yet but I will. From the description it sounds like it could be interesting. I would like a normal as-fast-possible video too, though.

How about doing it yourself? Some time has to be the first.

Sounds incredible. How do you mean all buttons? How about recording a short demo video with how this works? Grabbing the very bottom of a ladder which does not reach down to the ground can make you move up about one block in a glitchy way. But it has nothing to do with pressing the buttons, except for maybe up.

No, the zip files above contains a file. I have a feeling that some software had this problem (not displaying contents correctly) with some zip files, but I don't remember any details.

Hm. I went back and looked at the topic for this game, I noticed I had forgot posting my suggestions for this game not once, but twice (once to namflow and once to Kyrsimys). Sorry guys... :/ Anyway, this is good enough to be published, especially since there is an old version that it beats. I voted Yes. Perhaps, if someone has the stamina, it can be updated again, but this seems unlikely at the moment.

I'm not interested in a glitchless TA speedrun. It would essentially be a more precisely played speedrun, and that wouldn't be that interesting to me.

If you look in the submission details, it's right there in the ROM name field. But yeah, I had the same problem for a while, so I don't blame you. Could someone explain why Pugsley farts every time he kills an enemy?

It's usually listed under A as in Addams Family, The - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt, and not P.

I had inserted a notice that the files wouldn't play in WMP and that you needed another player. Should I remove it? Some other people reported problems playing it. Do you have some sort of plugin, upgrade or some other thing to make it work?

>the problem has nothing to do with the player. only difference with the usual avi is sound. I don't think this is true. I doubt that OGM and MKV are just AVIs which can store ogg files, and that a codec for ogg solves the problem. WMP isn't magically able to read OGM or MGV format because it can decode ogg sound.

Well, AVI is also a free standard. My guess is that the absolute majority of the sometimes thousands of people who download the videos use WMP and couldn't open OGM files unless they go trough a lot of extra trouble. I have no proof of this of course, just my strong suspicion. Because of that I doubt that a new file format for containing Vorbis sound is a good idea, especially when the current sound system works fine.

An important question: can Windows Media Player and other types of standard software play this movie format? Judging from the Open File dialog in WMP, no. I think this is a problem. Most of the people who download our movies are probably just regular users who are not interested (or skilled) enough to download extra programs. It's the same with new codecs, but at least they are used for a good reason, ie conserving space and bandwith.

I'd also rather see 150cc. As mentioned, in this game the "play at hardest difficulty" conflicts with "you mustn't start from a savestate". I suppose it could be SRAM as well in this case, right? That would be easier to compare than a savestate, since the movie at least starts from reset. All we need is a verified good SRAM that doesn't change some other variable than "150cc playable".

>So you're trying to run along a program that will allow you to get a soul on command. No. He's trying to run along a program that can predict wether he will get a soul or not (without testing every time). At least that's what I think this is about. If he runs a program that changes the code of the game, the stream of keypresses he produces won't play back correctly for everyone else, since they're not modifiying their game in the same way.

Come on now. 45 seconds better for a 5 minute movie deserves better than a meh. I voted Yes.

I have plans for Ecco, yeah. I don't know if I'm part of the faster people crowd, though. The main problem is that I'm not likely to get anything done in the next two months. You go ahead and take a stab at it and I'll be cheering from the sideline.

Elevator was nicety-nice. The boss was very boring. Is there no other way? Even if it means losing a couple of frames.

When you browse your ROMs in the Open ROM dialog, pressing any letter scrolls to the first ROM. Would it be possible to scroll to the letter you pressed instead?

So, um... I didn't wade trough all your edits and tried to make sense of them. Can you state again what problem you have, if any?

It looked questionable at first, but watching it in slowmotion I saw that the hits did go in as fast as possible, so no complaints. It is possible to get lodged between the steel beam and the truck and surviving, and still making the truck crash. If you do this the sprite will flicker horribly if you press a direction. But I can only remember succeding doing it with Shiva. I think it relies on doing the special at the right moment. Anyway, carry on.

Huh? I thought that function only had an effect when playing Sega CDs. And I remember Jyzero saying so too. If it's the difference between desynch or not that's really weird.
