Idea: when going at max running speed in the oil, could it be beneficial to stop and spindash?

Good luck mr Flatley. I hope you have the stamina to go trough all of it. I've really enjoyed the Super Metroid runs so far even though I never played the game when it was new.

Redefining incredible. Here's my "Yes with a star please" vote. I noticed you improved the ghost ship some. The 99 stuff was cool too, I was pretty sure you had forgotten about that. Do a short version while you're at it... it should be quick now.

Hm, Kyrsimys, you could be right. But I'm a little confused since the 77 seconds clearly refer to the new version. I'll go and update the description shortly. Asteron: you're thinking of Boco, I think. Boco's a she and has an obsessive-compulsive behaviour when it comes to Mega Man correctness. (hello Boco! ;)

>The game only freezes if you use the "wrong" buttons. Not all things makes the game freeze. I know. But Noob Saibot's spear move is one of the moves that freeze the game, at least in Genesis version. The Genesis version has codes to actually play the hidden characters. Did you try to start a two-player game and inputting one of the codes in SNES version? Usually what the code does is set player2=ShaoKahn, it doesn't matter if that player is human or CPU. Somebody should probably contact that guy and get this fake glitch off the list.

That's possible I guess, but if he doctored the other screenshots I see no reason to think that the glitch is legit to start with. And you said you tried it a hundred times alread. If you want to try the secret characters, there are game genie codes, at least for Genesis. I don't know about SNES.

If the secret characters in SNES plays anything like their Genesis counterparts, those screenshots are fake. For example, Noob Saibot cannot use his spear when you play him, doing that button combination freezes the game directly. Also, it's not possible to choose a new character before the secret characters, right? Losing means you are returned immediately to the regular tournament.

Yeah, if you select time challenge the text "Capcom staff record Ken vs. Dhalsim 06"874:CHN" pops up.

Just wanted to say nice job. A lot can happen when you're away for a weekend, it seems. I liked how you took damage from the car while keeping on walking. On this topic, the run is marked as "takes damage to save time" in the genres, but the description says "takes no damage except when it belongs to the plot". I can't really make up my mind as to which is correct. What do you think yourself?

Very nice as always. But I usually think so even before you improve the levels another 2 seconds, so I'm not a good standard of reference. I'm sort of posting this message so that I won't miss the next update. Again. I like double posts better than updates.

I can't hear much difference between this and the rap "music" played on the radio every waking hour.

Personally, I have to say I don't see the point of doing this game since all of it has ready been done for the NES. Aren't there other games more worth of attention?

Hm, you didn't play the hardest difficulty. Why not?

The only small things I could think of: If you want more coins in the ghost ship, you can try eating some as you go trough the layers of coins when you fall down. At the flying yoshi bonuslevel, do a small hop before clearing the ledge, maybe you'll have slightly more speed going down. Probably minimal as usual.

Keep in mind that some games play differently depending on which frame you reach them. Random factors, such as which enemies drops items and such, might be different if you move the level around. Unless you have a lot of work you want to append to an existing movie, the best option is to just play it.

>his high-priority limbs are perfectly suited to that; I have to ask about this: I always felt they were low-priority, that is every time I use them the computer punches my limbs and I get damage while they don't. In what way are they high priority? I also have to add that Zangief and Dalhsim are the easiest characters to beat when the computer plays them, but that could be because of bad AI.

It is, but he's not doing it for this site apparently. He just posted about it anyway.

Good. I guess I just really want to see you dead. :D >I expect it to be released when it's done. Ah. We can expect it at the same time as the next Duke Nukem game then? I heard that's also going to be released when it's done. (I'm sorta bored and this is my way of having fun.)

One downside is that this version doesn't show the number of hits in combos. Still it's better than the previous attempts, I think. Whoever thinks this isn't played at the hardest difficulty didn't watched the video. It's obvious. Terimakasih did a version with Zangief. It was mostly abuse of the piledriver.
