For the red coins, couldn't you get the BLJ to last for longer, like done in the 70 and 120 star TASes?
Yes i could, but in this run i am aiming more, for entertainment rather than speed. I'm not trying to get the fastest time possible.

If you want to update it you basically got to beat all the records set either get the same score or better.
You mean to beat/tie the record in each event or the high score? (the score that shows at the top left corner)

So you're in for a ride if you're doing it in GAME A when the harder was done.
So, am i good to go? In what i'm making i'm aiming for speed and only speed. Meaning that in some events if it's faster to fault in one attempt, then i fault. And just get the score required only in one of the three attempts. EDIT: Here's what i made. Link to video[/video]

As i can see this topic is dead for like 2 years now, but i want to say that i've been working on a TAS for this game with one player (mode A) that aims for the fastest completion possible and i have saved a lot of time so far. So, i would like to hear some opinions, if anyone is interested in a new run. (also i think i've found a new sound glitch which i find hilarious)

But to do that i need at least 2 mushrooms.(1 to bounce off someone and another one to jump of penguin island). So i must not be in first place since i only get 1 mushroom and if i'm not first it's gonna be extremely hard to be quick enough and bounce off someone.(If there is a heavy at the "last" places).

why is the 1st lap slower than your previous attempt?
At my other attemp (2"85) when i passed the lap the kart was almost parallel to the finish line but in my newest run i had a much better angle and could save more secs on the 2nd lap. So basically it's a matter of angle.(I also got a 2"80 1st lap but the angle was extremely bad).

BIG EDIT: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/868437115/Star%20Cup%20By%20Van%20Helsing.m64 Improved my previous run.This is still improvable. But i won't bother getting a lower time. Anyway i saved 1,06 secs over Weatherton's run. 1st lap: 2"88 2nd lap: 4"41 3rd lap: 4"29 Total: 11"58

Here is my run of Wario Stadium.I managed to save half a second (0.5 secs) over Weatherton's run. http://www.mediafire.com/?vjvvs7sri8z4vch (Sorry for uploading at mediafire but i had an .st file too) 1st lap: 2"85 2nd lap: 4"91 3rd lap: 4"38 Final Result: 12"14 I am 100% sure that sub 12 is possible.

I wanted to try and TAS this game and i started a GP at the Star Cup. So far i have completed the first lap (at Wario Stadium) with a time of 3 secs exactly which is faster than your uploaded video. But i think i can sub 3 if i try.

Also, yesterday we figured out how to skip the air BLJ on the DDD skip, saving roughly a second if optimized.
So the DDD skip on the WIP you posted will be re-done?

No you can't do the pause trick while side-BLJing.
With a normal stair blj and the new trick would we get enough speed to get past DDD?
