It's a no question yes. There's great improvement, and it's entertaining as hell.

you skipped parts of the level that the designer of the hack thought to be mandatory. I dislike the idea to create a hack first, and then show how to skip these parts. I would prefer a playaround which shows how the hacker intended the hack to be played.
That's.. that's what a TAS is bro Also the rope glitch can be done as small, and yes there is places you can do it in the original game, be it doing some complicated glitches first.

While the hack itself is not aesthetically pleasing
I actually believe that someone made a mod of the Kaizo Hacks without floating/stacked munchers and other stuff like that. I'm not sure if using that rom would change the decision or not. But not to be off topic, I'll say meh. Would make more sense for a Kaizo 1 TAS to be published, eh?

Yeah, Snes9x 1.51 is better at emulating lag, but due to the fact that it in turn generates more lag, Snes9x 1.43 is the most commonly used emulator here. Who wouldn't want to reduce the time spent doing absolutely nothing?

hey guys, i have a question. when you are on the ground and holding a bomb and you throw it it can go fairly far, though sometimes it will only go about a third of that distance (not even that much)... what causes that and how could i make the bomb go the furthest distance when im on the ground?
Make sure to let go of the right/left button.

I think the currently published SMW small-only run set the bar for small-only in SMW hacks. * Maximum levels possible * No collecting any feathers, flowers, or mushrooms * No Yoshi * No Switch Palaces I like your WIP regardless, though.
Well unfortunately, I was forced to grab a fire flower for a second.

Oh, also, forgot to ask. Is it okay to post progress on Super Mario World ROM hacks in this thread, or is there a seperate place to post for hacks?
I think it's alright, considering TFB posts his SPW3 videos on here. There's a few forums for hacks that are dead (along with only being like, 2 pages at most) so, take your pick.

what about Mario Land 2
I think that the new run will either be published in its own category or not published at all.
It's own category? There's already like 5 different SMW runs on this site, if you include SDW/VIPs or other hack TASes of the nature.

So, I believe someone posted about using 2 p-switches to boost through a ceiling, although I cannot find the post for the life of me. If someone could repose it or something it would be very appreciated.

Mister, in your SMW Any% TAS with ISM, who did the Yoshi-Wing exit in YI3? A friend and I are needing some help with it. We cannot, for the life of us, clone that block into the message box. Any tips?
Cloning like that is insanely difficult, but to put it simply, you have to just try throwing it up on different frames with an X speed of 0/1. I'm pretty sure that sometimes it is occasionally impossible to perform that type of copy, I believe that you sometimes have to reenter the level on a different frame to fix the subpixel.

"SDW" Stands for Super Demo World, a hack of Super Mario World made by the creator of lunar magic.

Real console seems to be different from the emulator in some behavior to freeze.
I heard the SMW players like to use snes9x 1.43. What version are you using?
Usually SMW TASers use Snes9x 1.43, for it starts up faster, and has fewer lag frames.

New (I think) Glitch! Link to video[/video] Now, although useful, (Notice that the shell WAS yellow) it is a very restricted glitch. Here's why: It MUST be with a purple or yellow shell. If you try with red or green, Yoshi just eats it. You have to be on Yoshi and have a fire flower. I don't know if this is new or not, but I haven't seen it before. Feedback would be nice, and stuff.
