It's a nice game, but I doubt it makes a good TAS, there's too much dialog, and the story is very linear. It's pretty much like any Final Fantasy except that should almost always stay in the city. Unless you find a major sequence break or glitch, I doubt it would be accepted.

Pretty neat. I don't know how much time should the splash screen last, but maybe you could make Mario and the Virus appears a couple of seconds later. That way, we would see TASVideos first. I must admit I didn't even notice the website because of the animation.

When enconding, is it possible to add a black bar to represent the space between the two screen. It doesn't look very good. But the run looks great !

This game is fun, but it would be nice to see a 100% run of this game. It's by far more difficult that to just finish the level normally.

It was nice in the technical department. But I found it a little boring.

Actually, Savestate not in the loading of the game. Try saving the state when you are able to do some input. If you do a save state when the game is loading data, it will be corrupted.

Holy crap! GC TAS. Damn that mine computer wont run good with it i think? My specs are : Intel pentium 4 2.8ghz, geforce 7600gt 256mb, 1.8gb ram,... Otherwise I would tas : TH American wasteland, TH Pro skater 4...
Even if it does not run at full speed. TASing is about running the game frame by frame, so there should not be any problem, unless the rendering on your graphics card is not enough, but I can't say if it will work. I guess you'll have to try it yourself.

Actually with VB.net, you could have process.start(), and be able to handle the process easily. It's free and have almost the same syntax as vb6. Visual Basic Express

I found it much more entertaining. I loved the beginning when you almost get hit by the opponent. I was like, why did he let him h... ohh, he didn't. I love to see the glitch of the game. Like the uppercut that scroll indefinitly. I also like the combo between to transformation. With Subzero ? and Sector. Like hitting with character1, retransform in sector, and hitting the opponent before the other player is down. That's was pretty fun :P

I liked some of the glitch in the game. It was nice, but the combo should be more varied.

And once again, we lost a coder, and someone that was truly trying to make things better. I can understand why mz is frustrated and it's not really a good thing. You might say that it's his problem but there's not much people that can code, and that are willing to code. I just don't understand why things stay the same always. Member that are here for a couple of year gets frustrated and quits. I already said that the vote on this site is not accurate because speed vs entertainment is impossible to debate on itself. A video will almost always be accepted if it's faster than another one. Not that it's a big problem, but in that case, why not having two category of movies one Pure Speed, and one Most Entertaining. Wouldn't it solve the entire debate about speed vs entertainment. That way, we could really have entertaining movies. Like the Super Mario Bros 3 movies that shows a lot of trick, THAT is entertaining, not that ultra fast movie that just get boring. The movie is almost the same since the first version of 11 minutes. Anyway, I really think that the direction of this site should change a little to accomodate more people. Why can't we reach a little more people ? How many people would like to make something beautiful to watch and not frame perfect ? There would be much more people offering movies to the community. And why not have a category that is full speed. Forgot about something cute to watch, go full speed. That would accomodate almost everyone. Anyway, just my two cents. Oh and by the way, can someone split this thread in two so that we can stay on track with PCSX ?

Just want to say that you did a great job with the emulator. I'm sorry to hear that you hate the website. Some big star of the TAS community seems to be quitting often. It's bad that we lost one of the few good coder that we had.

Yeah you are right. I know that some people are crazy enought to do C# programming without VS2008. But only it's a full IDE (like Eclipse) it's a real lack of productivity.

Actually the linux version is on it's way. You can even try it on ubuntu. There's a guide to add a repository from launchpad. Actually it's a build of chromium and it's in alpha. But it is still able to load page and everything. And it won't be using Wine or anything else.

I like c# that handle the indentation of code automaticly. No more fiddling around trying to parse your code correctly. You just type, and the IDE handle the rest.

In any case, the best way to learn, is to follow some basic tutorial. I bought a book about XNA, read it and followed the exemple. At the middle of the book, I little game that I had to not get hit by asteroid, and collect gas to continu. It's pretty nice.

Well I started programming with mIrc scripting. It was pretty nice to do some mp3 player, away system, etc. Then I tried VB6 and tried to do a IRC client. It's not that hard for simple thing. If you want php is pretty easy to learn too. I did some dynamic webpage and a forums. It's really not that hard. But game programming is harder. I just did a Tetris but I'd like to do something else. I lack motivation, I wonder how people are able to do programming after a days of work in a programming environnement. Just lack the motivation after my job.

I don't know if you are using XNA for game developpement, but it's a pretty nice framework. I used it to do some little stuff. Nothing complete because of a lack of motivation, but it's pretty nice. And with a subscription (it's not free) you are able to develop game for Windows and Xbox 360. I think you can even sell your game for Xbox 360. You should take a look ;)

For high end computer, I'll use Windows 7 when it will be out. (I'll be buying a new laptop with it). For my low end laptop that I use for chatting and using internet, I use xubuntu. Xubuntu works pretty well, and just to chat and internet, that's fine, but sometime I miss when I need to do something that I can't easily do on Ubuntu.
