Could it potentially be faster to play in a language other than English?

Seeing Yoshimitsu stab himself in the name of speed never gets old, that's an easy "yes" vote!

Great work as usual, this is a great category to show off more of this game. Voting "yes"!

This is a terrible game and it doesn't even look good in a TAS, so I have to vote "no" here.

Great work, I enjoyed this run and it's an easy "yes" vote. I don't mind that it is almost identical to a run without memory corruption up to the point when the glitch happens. I do have a question, though: Are there any improvements over the published runs in sections that follow the same route?

Is this TAS aiming for ingame time?

This was a fantastic TAS, as good as I was hoping it would be. To think that this used to be a 2-hour TAS category... "Yes" vote from me, this one will be a strong award contender!

This TAS looks great, there is so much variety and superhuman gameplay to see here. I just love how things just keep coming together perfectly while clearing these rooms, this multitasking is very satisfying to watch. Easy "yes" vote for one of my favorite TASes this year.

Let's not have a published TAS of this, for the same reason not to have a published TAS of Custer's Revenge.

I like the idea of this hack, but the goal choice for this TAS is too arbitrary for me. If you are going to TAS something like this, do all of it. Abstaining from voting,

I only know this game from DK64 and always found it a baffling decision that they made it a mandatory part of beating the main game. So having played at least some version of Jetpac, I can definitely appreciate this TAS a lot more. It looks well optimized from what I can tell, but it's probably not the easiest game to TAS. I don't want to hold the awful loading sequence against the game here, so I give this TAS a "yes" vote.

This wasn't as entertaining as I hoped it would be. Instead of spectacular trick shots, it was mostly just burning through the available balls quickly while taking out some orange pegs on the way. I understand that some of it is just an inevitable part of an any% category as opposed to a highscore TAS or some sort of "minimum moves/balls" challenge, but I was wondering at times if the gameplay really is optimal. CtrlAltDestroy's post confirmed my suspicions. I'm giving this one a "meh".

I'm signing up, even though I'm not the most skilled TASer yet. Looking for a team that helps me improve.

This looks great, it makes the game look so easy, like a TAS should. Easy "yes" vote from me, I hope to see more racing game TASes from you in the future!

I was entertained by the TAS, so I voted "yes", but I agree that those speed/entertainment tradeoffs are questionable for an Arcade run. For fighting games, I want pure speed categories with no regards for entertainment and separate playaround categories to show off the game.

I loved watching this run, it's incredible how broken this game has become. That's an easy "yes" vote. Now I'm hoping for an "All Puppies" TAS!

If you ever hope to get a TAS done for a game like this, you just can't aim for perfection or you'll never get it done. Set yourself the goal of beating or at least tying all known records for each race, which is already a challenging goal itself. If you find out that the version of the game that is available for TASing is at a disadvantage against the version used by a specific record, it is fine to not beat that time. Racing games are one of the most difficult types of games for TASing, that's just how it is, so make sure to tackle a racing TAS with the right mindset.

Aren't speedruns of this game all about lag reduction? Then any TAS aiming for speed is just automatically going to be faster just due to inaccurate emulation, it's the same problem as with Star Fox 64 speedruns. In that game, the solution was to go for a highscore TAS instead, but I'm not sure if something similar would be possible here. Maybe a playaround?

You know I love fighting game TASes, but I can't give this one more than a "meh". It's not so much because of the TAS itself but the game, it's just too slow in nature and this being a disc-based game with loading screens doesn't help. I did like the variety, though, with both combos to do damage the regular way and manipulating the AI into a stage hazard, this reminds me of the Soul Calibur II TAS.

I want to nominate [5169] N64 Star Fox 64 "Expert, maximum score" by WarHippy in 50:50.42 We don't have a lot of highscore TASes, especially of the 3D rail shooter variety. This TAS really shows off everything that makes the game great, we get to see each type of stage and vehicle, plus all the creative ways to break the scoring system.

This is a great TAS. Nightfire is a very broken game and this category shows this off in many different ways. I also like how juvenile you made Bond look here, keeping things perfectly in character for him. "Yes" vote, you did great work here, Fitter!

This looks really good, just what I was hoping an improved TAS of this game could look like. I'm glad you were able to put the new discoveries to good use, credit really should go to the RTA record holder KAJ here. What I did was talking to him to understand the game myself and then go over the whole route again, before eventually compiling it for the forum post I made. So the remote collection route should now be optimal and all the currently known tricks are used as well. Potential improvements at this point would just be to find better movement here and there. Going with a "yes" here, it's finally tail time again on TASVideos!
