I may do that... Can x264 utilise 8 cores? is there a recommended AVIsynth script that will encode to HD and does not contain a logo/subtitle?

Edit: Updated file with levels 1-20 - http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/718847732/Polarium%20-%20WIP%202.dsm As you can see there's some room to play after the actual puzzle has been solved but this test run doesn't make much use of that yet. All constructive criticism appreciated.

Do you know how to make videos high definition in virtualdub? Eg. using the 'resize' filter or something else. I'm unsure how to make it nice and sharp as most of the videos are here.

Well. This is what I have prepared so far. Collect all the rings of Emerald Hill with the help of Tails (though not used much). Mostly, I worry about collecting all the rings without taking any box of 10 rings. The battle against Robotnik is as simple as hitting 8 times in the traditional way. Here is for you see my progress

Sure but there's nothing really interesting in it. It's just a bunch of dialogue skips, walking around and FMVs. Just one fight against Lani who goes down in one hit.

Link to video For those that click 'link to video' and read the description, let me know if you found the 'timeline' feature useful. Useful for skipping the score calculation parts too ;p If people actually use it, I will try to include it on all future videos. Last question, from now on, before starting Disc 2 how can I check that it will not have the same problem ? I'm not sure what checksum is, but how can I know it's a good one ?
Use a program such as FastSum (google) to generate a checksum for the file. If our checksums match then we probably have exactly the same file. Here are checksums for my FFIX Disc 2:
File: Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 2) (v1.0).bin
CRC-32: dfef08c8
   MD4: dc4fd951aaea561f26fcd9d464e60ba9
   MD5: b70f3c3ac4d3b050d6964966dbdbe802
