If you want to get the clear memcard, there is easier method, just start to play the 100% or richter movie (they contain it already), then in the menu go for memcard, you can export/save it there (the format is also compatible with most other psx emus)

IMO, there should be 2 (or more?) cases where rejection should not wait 72 hours. -Troll. -Played Realtime (lets say, not a troll, and giving him a second chance).

Gonna give a yes vote here, especially if you now decide to pick up Last Battle on Genesis :-p
Do you know if it was submited/rejected/accepted already ? I saw a tas on youtube of it, but im not sure wether or not its realy suited, the game blow hard (its slow paced and look annoying to optimize) I was rather considering doing one of the psx games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiNna4xtWiw I think the second title is just a street fighter, im not sure, but the first one surely feature story mode (beat em all) alike Last Battle.

You mean to drop all common/rare items from monsters? (aka fill up the inventory with all items) It would be considerably longer, i think, some monster only have one occurence, and some are realy not on the way of this run. The monster list in this game is quite big. Also have to consider many items are redundant from the librarian or other means (meal tickets for exemple).

Just wanted to report 3 problems. (im using last version) 1. Update the help txt and say there you need python 2.5(.4) for windows, the last version is 3.1 and doesnt work with dega. If it wasnt for grunt, no way i could have figure this.(i think many gave up and didnt used ram watch at all just because this is missing) 2. The ram watch is very bad, the best would be use standart code we have for other emus, otherwise, at least fix it so it doesnt display in hexadecimal, its not realy possible to watch the values in the current way its done, also you need to give address a "name" value, else you will never remember what address do what. 3. Change the states slot system to be consistant with (all?) others tas emu, use F1-F9 for load state, and shift + F1-F9 for saving state, i know this prevent many taser from even trying this emulator, this is a critical point. Another way to "fix" the ram watch is to implement lua, im not realy whilling to learn python syntax or make new windows, with lua we can easly make ram address value overlay the game (speed, positions, hitbox ect...) And optionally, plz put drag'n'drop if possible.

Voting no, for the third time. (and hopefully the last one) Theres something realy bizarre with you guys, you submit movies you are voting no to, this is pretty pointless, if you think yourself the movie doesnt deserve to published, why even bother to submit it ? The only case it happened to me was with por final sword or rondo richter regular stage, and in both case i just canceled my runs right away after submit or when revelant, since i thought they wasnt right nor publishable. Does the point is just to put the job on judge heads ? even if the outcome is already know... Frame war on a game that cant be published doesnt sound right, more like masochism or something like that.

Theres not much to say about this run, i didnt saw the older ones so it was quite a blast to see the game beaten up so quickly, the tricks to go directly to the ending sequence are just amazing. 1 frame is still 1 frame heh, easy yes vote.

Im inclined to follow mukki and others as well, i voted meh, the repeatitive trow was extremly boring by the end the movie, the game is good, i like graphics and musics, but the run beg for more variety. Otherwise with more variety i would have easly voted yes, also im pretty sure this run is technically good. Does the trow is less powerfull with other characters ? Or is its just for that character? Either way i think using suboptimal characters may solve the problem. * use suboptimal characters to create variety and entertainement or * forgoes the most powerfull moveset For a beat'em'all, i think this doesnt forcably disqualify you to have such goals.

I watched this quickly, many parts are quite boring by nature (the game is a bit assy), but its also a epic game, this is the smb of master system, i remember playing it a lot and it was cute. Thats been sayd, i would still vote yes even if it wasnt an obsoletion, the game is beaten very quickly. A definitive huge plus for the cam glitch, that was realy fun and looking neat, here my yes vote! On side note, with the cam glitch, i think theres still hope for sonik/angy to obsolete this, by making it work even better than it does now (if it happen to be possible)

I got it from http://tasvideos.org/1275M.html But you can also get it from this run movie file. Most everything is doable non assisted, alltho a lot slower, of course.

I wouldnt mind to try that, someday, but like i sayd once to Derakon, what are you going to allow or not? does the big toss is a glitch for exemple, its clearly an intended feature, the wolf giving a dive kick is same thing, its not a glitch, rather an oversight, or using a potion to open the door to maria in chapel. The hardest part in a glitchless run is to define what is a glitch and what is not, and it generaly fall under a subjective point of view.

Since i thought you cant skip it (or failed at skiping i should say) , i guess the answer is because i sux ? Seriously this is the kill detail, i didnt even noticed that even tho i watched my own movie a bunch of times. (you didnt saw it in wip?) The TAS is not perfect anyway, i have some explanations to give in the submision text, but here i didnt saw it coming at all, good catch!

Ill try to answer this quickly mklip2001, its a good question The run you point out is about to complete the map, like for sotn, % are not items but map. The thing with that run, obtaining the full map doesnt give you anything back, except to brag for it. In SOTN, to obtain the best ending, you need to have 196%+ map completion (1847 rooms), so im not exploring just for fun, its to get the best ending. The best run of this category would be to 1. get all relics 2. corrupt room count so no more exploration is needed to obtain 196%. While i hope this will be possible, it doesnt work yet, so i had to walk the rooms, hmmm, manually :p If anything, i was aiming at making the redundant parts (that are still rewarding more rooms, thus vital for the movie purpose) the most entertaining possible by using glitchs, either to get outside boundary or take shortcuts, i believe i didnt failed totaly at this, from the feedback i can see already in the thread. If corrupting the room count happen to be possible, most of this will be gone along it, there will still be some exploration to get relics, but the run will be twice shorter, thus will forcably use much less glitchs (or creative ways to explore i should say).

Thx all for the feedback! The point of the dirty sram is quite simple, without that i cant buy mana prisms at the librarian, wich would make the run considerably slower. You could still glitch out the money, but you wont do anything interresting with it, as the basic librarian sell list is extremly shorter. @fruitbane, i was planning to take screenshoots of the map in the run, just before i reset the map, even if its not in the encode, so that people can see the logic of the room farming. @spweasel, i realy laughted while reading your post, thx :D

Im very sorry for the obvious lack of informations at the moment, its kinda late here and im realy not motived to fill the 300 pages i need to write down to explain all glitches, goals, and annoying little details i need to cover. I did started good the text and stupid computer freezed, didnt saved and lost it. Ill try tomorow to make something decent. Quick reference for first timers: you need to have 1847 rooms to unlock the best ending, i abuse a glitch with saving to erase my map, and making the backtracking reward more rooms (this reduce drasticaly time spent exploring compared to a regular room acquisition; often needing to backtrack with no room gain at all)

With the latest dart spam method found by klmz/gocha, even at 10 dmg i assume it would be worthy, because you can actually trow extremly fast. The problem iirc is since darts are not holy based, they dont do shit on true dracula, how much damage you get with +15 INT ? The casting time for the spell should not be a problem, theres a bunch of spare time, and the battle is quite long. Getting +26 dmg should be enought to warrant a significiant boost on true dracula, but how much you get with "just" +15 STR then ? I didnt sayd you should start tasing, all i sayd its easy to make a (sloppy) test on the time it takes to get the spell, its a common approach around to try directly by making a small test movie to demonstrate suggestions, this generaly tend to help make decisions over just talking in the dark. (unlike movies we are not perfect, and im far from having enough memory to remember every situations and everything) Its a plus, not required anyway.

Well you know, you could open desmume, load up the movie, and test it by yourself, i realy have doubt you could offset the time lost with dracula battle, because, if you realy try what you suggested, youll see by yourself youll loose a lot of time to get the +30, considering it takes a while to suspend, reset and reload (SG), those times are part of the movie you know. Oh and yeah, unassisted is totaly irrelevant for comparing, i think. Also, are you sure it realy provide a boost at all? i remember perfectly to have try to get a few extra level up (giving more STR), but the damage done on (true)dracula would not be affected at all, or just by 1. What does happen to darts once you have +30 STR ? hmm, do you still have enought mp to use some darts ? or is it just based on INT maybe....
