Nominating [5447] DS Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force "The Puffle Pranksters" by dekutony in 02:52.02. It was uncertain whether we’d even be able to get this DLC mission TASed in the first place, so its nice to see this TAS was finally finished and published!

Alright I’m on my iPad so forgive me if this formatting is ass lol I like the implementation, but I’m not sure I fancy having everything centrally on one page. I think having game forums, which can not only have discussion forums for their playground runs pinned, but other threads for discussing technical aspects underneath, would be cool. Or even just a distinction between runs, I just think with this system it’s easy for runs to get lost. Unless I’m completely missing an intention here lol

3DS is here!!! Watched this TAS over on YouTube and was thoroughly impressed at how good it was, especially with Citra’s tools being as unpredictable as they can be. It really is cool to see a 3DS game beaten so quick, as well as a 3DS TAS at all! Obvious yes vote from me. Really hope this gets published, and here’s to more 3DS movies to come!

I think as long as it plays better than you would expect a speedrunner to play in real time, it should be okay.
This could be hard to figure out. For acceptance for publication, we consider the movie rejectably sloppy if in a lot of places we can easily save a lot of time. For Playground, I'm thinking of "there should be no obviously visible sloppy play", and as long as it looks clean, it's fine.
I agree. I think if it LOOKS clean, but there is potential for improvement, it would be perfect as a LOTAD, and I think Playground would be a perfect home for these. As aforementioned in this thread, it would also be great for human theory runs.

I see nothing wrong with how this TAS reached the ending. It’s not like the game doesn’t reach some sort of ending, because it does. It’s just the game became so broken that it couldn’t finish itself. I don’t see anything wrong with how it turned out.
Agreed.

I like the idea of Playground, but I prefer the name “Showcases”. Playground seems like a more… casual term? idk exactly how to word it, but Showcases just comes across as a more fitting term, since this could be used for LOTADs and the like. I just wouldn’t be able to take something uploaded to a “playground” seriously compared to something clearly dedicated to showcases. maybe I’m just nitpicky tho lol

documenting my little rant it kinda feels like the moons page is a bit vague. i was looking at it and it kinda felt like the page was worded rather complexly (not a word but idk the actual word lol) and there was only actually brief information on the class itself. I feel like it could potentially do with a slight rewrite just to make it more clearly show what moons entails, eg. What would actually qualify it with examples, clearer explanation of the rules that get it in (audience feedback, types of goals) and a deeper explanation of what the class actually is.
There's some info on other pages: https://tasvideos.org/Class https://tasvideos.org/MovieRules#Moons Do they contain info the Moons page also needs to contain?
Yeah, definitely. I learnt more from them than the Moons page itself. The latter page actually answered the question I looked to the Moons page for the answer for initially.
Post subject: sorry please move if wrong place but documenting

Nominating Randomno because he made a substantial optimisation to a movie previously published on this site, and EZGames69 for absolutely knocking it out the park with the number of projects he's made/been involved in.

[4539] Linux Undertale "Neutral ending" by OceanBagel in 48:51.95 Shows off many glitches possible in a Neutral route, using them for timesave. Entertaining glitches as well.

I have two key nominations here. Firstly, Randomno. He made a notable improvement to a movie which did not feature new tricks used in RTA, in fact it was 6 minutes faster! Definitely a great first movie. Secondly, I have to go with DJ Incendration. The fact he’s a (legally) blind TASer is simply extraordinary to me, and I definitely think he deserves recognition.
