i wonder who voted no for this. Maybe Masterjun did it cuz it's not enough ACE for him.

I would actually recommend to do all stages instead of a single level TAS. And dude that trick can be done that fast!? My guess is that you shouldn't do the trick that fast... only with strategic timing and placement.
1. All stages? The NPCs are on steroids lol. >.> 2. I don't think it would matter when I boost, since I got the feeling the handicap is applied after the finish line. I can't check now, but I can at the weekend. 3. For number 1, how exactly do I move faster?? Right now like I mentioned, the npcs speed past me faster than I ever could. Edit: Oh, and thanks encoder! :P
1. Well a single level TAS is never well recieved here, and it's a Tournament after all so... 2. I'm not sure if handicap is a thing in this game though. 3. No idea, we can figure out how toghether but... not right now. :)

I mashed buttons randomly, i did random movement and touched enemies and stuff and it just happened. ACE or memory corruption maybe?
Judging by the picture itself, the game loaded a specific pattern/set of garbage values as level data. You need more information to understand it's usability for TASing purposes. 1. Why the glitch happens (what corrupts the screen)? 2. What does the glitch do (changes tile appearance (unuseful) or changes level data (useful))? 3. How can you alter the outcome (possible values and what value are you targeting for ("end of level" object)? My primary guess would be it's a simple "crash" screen and it isn't useful for you.
This happened in Stage 1-1, and those are the level tiles of Stage 1-2, soooooo....

I came across this while researching some memory corruption glitches (I assume they are according to some addresses): I basically did the exact thing as I did on real hardware, but this showed up instead of a music note loop. What I did is I dragged the jackhammer to the river, and while on it, I clicked on the glitched item box. ais523 told me it was an overflow handler (whatever that is), but I thought it was worth checking out. Also tried other glitches with puffles, but my emulator crashed... like 5 times. I need we need to go deeper guys, I have a good feeling about this. Feel free to research with me as well. :)

The only thing that matters for a run to be published to Moons is entertainment value. If it’s decided that this game/run isn’t entertaining enough, it won’t be published in Moons. It doesn’t matter how hard you worked on it or anything else. The rules were there for you to read, if you didn’t it’s your own fault. If you thought your run was entertaining enough, then accept that you may have been wrong in your assumption. (Btw: http://tasvideos.org/Moons.html)
I know the rules.I read them. You asshole. My fault. Yeah my fault.

For me it is a really big deal. Mainly because the love and effort I put into it, and not only that, but also this TAS demonstrates the growth of a noob TASer and also a person,I was in my last year.of.high school, I graduated and also became 18, the legal age from where I live. So this means a lot to me, and, at the very very least, I want this accepted for moons. I'm too tired to argue right now but that was something I needed to point out.

derula: oh, ok :( But think it like this, who plays Club Penguin? Kids right? Maybe kids will know about the game and they will be mindblown by the superhuman speed in it. Even then, I want this published for Moons (or Stars), but I respect your opinion as it is. ars: Thanks man! Happy you liked it!

Why is the recompiler used in this movie if there is a label saying "This should not be assumed to be deterministic."?
Basically, my PC sucks balls, so using recomplier sped up the emu to an acceptable framerate on my PC.

Well solarplex, this might be the last microgame you'll do in this TAS. Lately I've seen you're busier than usual, so I'll take care of this project alone from here. It's been fun to work with you good sir... and thank you.

A few years ago I tried to make an arcade SF2:TWW playaround run, using glitches like handcuffs and all the other things Guile can do, invisible Dhalsim, player vs player fights, etc., although I never got far with it. A good playaround/glitchfest would probably be able to obsolete both SNES runs.
I have a question related to this, and preferred game version in general. How is the preferred version/port of a game decided? Is there a list? For example NES Double Dragon is also on this list, but there are surely plenty of other ports of that game, so should I do NES double dragon or the Genesis Version (which also has a published run) or something else?
pls do NES version first.
