I originally posted this request in the wrong forum. Back to the Future 2 and 3 is, for me, the worst video game I've ever played. I know there are other games out there that may technically be worse, but this game sucks. A lot. I won't go into details here, but it has haunted my dreams since middle school and I would love to see it actually beaten. It might not seem that bad at first glance, but just imagine playing it back in the day on a NES without the ability to make a save state. It has no password or save feature, which means you'd have to do it all in one sitting, which means you'd have to spend countless hours drawing up your own maps and taking notes. Exploration in games is fun, but when you need to do a research project in order to complete a game it stops being fun and becomes something else. Anyway, if anyone could actually undertake this task I would be eternally grateful.

I know that there are worse games out there than BttF2&3 in terms of gameplay and story, but not in terms of frustration and completion. At least not for me. It might seem like fun at first but like I said, just imagine playing it back on a regular NES with no saving or passwords. The only way to crack this game would be to draw your own map and take notes on it. It becomes more like a research project than a video game and somewhere along the line it stops being fun to play and becomes something insidious, simply because there is no way to save your progress. That's by no means the only reason this game sucks, but if LJN had simply included some kind of save feature it would have been a decent game. On the other hand I am biased in my hatred for this game because a colorful comic book ad made me want to get it for Christmas one year and it turned out to be this horrible nightmare that I couldn't will myself to finish. I didn't actually own a lot of games on the NES but I did rent a lot. I vaguely remember playing X-Men once. All I remember is dying really quickly in about the first 5 minutes and returning the game to the rental place soon after I got it. If I had owned both of these games I might hate X-Men more, you never know.

I dare anyone to make a complete NES movie of this game. It is, quite possibly, the worst video game ever made. If you are familiar with this game, then I don't need to go into detail. If you've never played it before, here is a review I wrote years ago on gamefaqs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/review/R15438.html Yes that's right, this game is so bad it is the only thing I've ever felt like publically reviewing on gamefaqs. It haunts my dreams. If anyone can actually undertake this mammoth task I would be eternally grateful. I have never seen the end of this game, though God knows I spent most of middle school trying to. I would love to drink a case of beer while I watch this monstrosity finally beaten. Although emulators can make this game a lot easier due to save states, just imagine playing it on a real NES back in the day with no passwords or save features. It's horrible.
