For anyone wondering, the fire and suicide jutsus seem to be the same strength. The suicide jutsu doesn't consume jutsu points, only extra lives. But you still need to have a jutsu point to perform it.
Does that also go for Revenge of Shinobi? I thought the suicide was more powerful.

You can view them if you go to the directories, rather than the individual image: http://www.planet-megaman.com/images/albums/userpics/mm/main/ http://www.planet-megaman.com/images/albums/userpics/mm/mmbc/ http://www.planet-megaman.com/images/albums/userpics/mmx/main/ The point Boco is making is that Mega Man and X look similar but are not the same. Wouldn't marrying Roll be like marrying a sister? Eww.

Nice. It's finally easy, after all these years. Now, if we could just get that Golgo 13 sniper game on-line....^_^

It did not desync for me, and I didn't use the config file. I didn't vote because I don't know whats happening in the game well enough to know if this is played optimally. It's a pretty crazy game, actually.

While watching the playoffs, I thought of a fun idea for a baseball time attack. The way I figure it, any baseball game will do, as they are all essentially played the same way. That's why I didn't post this in any particular system forum. Here's the proposal: Pitch a perfect game, win 1-0 on a home run in the bottom of the ninth. Any two teams would do, but I think the funniest combination would be the Cubs beating the Red Sox. Control both pitcher and batter. Each batter should only require one pitch, as striking out each batter would take too long. Every batter should get out (preferably by grounding out, but pop-outs are OK too) except the last one, who hits a home run to end the game. Depending on the game, you could probably stop recording the second you hit the home run. Since baseball has no clock, this should be the fastest way to "win" a game. Any takers? Which baseball game would be fun for this? The only baseball game I ever played was Tommy Lasorda Baseball for the Genesis, but that was before the days of licensing so all the teams and players were make believe.

I could see a time attack bypassing the ice beam, but missles? How else will you destroy the Zebetites and Mother Brain? Harsh Language?

I'm not going to bother reading this. I can't imagine why people who do speedruns even give a shit anymore about what we do. I can write a scathing opinion piece about why speedrunning is a waste of time. But why would I, and who would read it? Thanks for sharing the link, but this is a dead issue for me.

I'm sorry to those who had posted, but I accidentally erased that topic after I moved it to this "Off-Topic" forum. I apologize profusely. Anyway, here is the link for some Mega Man related flash games: http://www.brokenfunction.com/ And again, sorry about the deletion. I guess I don't know my own strength.

It can be done, it's just hard. If a game is hard to control that's all the more reason to do a time attack...to create the illusion of a well-played game. There's a full-runthough in this topic: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1145 ...which isn't good enough to be submitted but it's a good point of discussion at this point.

So far as I can tell, here are a few "rules," so to speak: -Sliding is faster than walking, so always be sliding. -Taking hits doesn't stop or even slow Hiryu, so enemies can be largely ignored. -However, attacking doesn't slow Hiryu either, so pick your spots for fighting vs sliding. If possible, a few kills to pick up health could allow for ignoring more enemies (like those spiked walls). -Death makes an excellent shortcut in many areas. Given these premises, there is (almost) no reason to EVER stop moving. But what's up with that "plasma" thing? Does that have a point? Is it more powerful?

Cheez, it seems like your run could be a framework that can be optimized into a time attack. Nice work, now let's fix it. ^_^

How...bizarre. Loved the Bach, hated the game. I don't know how you put up with it for two whole minutes. At the ending is...nothing? Just endless music? Crap.

I guess I don't know this game very well. Why pick up the POWs? Does that increase your offensive capabilities? As far as slowdown is concerned, you night consider a few more kills. Since you can fire while moving, a well-placed rocket or two might reduce the number of sprites on screen, avoiding the slowdown dilemma. Otherwise, looks like fun. Makes me wonder where the Ikari Warriors time attack is....?_?

Showing a glitch is nice, but using it to save time is what's important. If you can do that thing to get somewhere faster, then you've got something. I have to question your optimization of time. Hiryu can attack while running, so you shouldn't have to stop to kill any guards. Either slash them before they jump, or slide when they jump. Don't stop to point your sword up. Also, as repetitive as it may be, I think a complete run should be submitted.

The "circular robe with no sleeves" is the classic White Mage look. If you want that White Mage look, that's the one. If you just want a cool looking robe, I'd go with the red cowel one.

I play chess on occasion. I have one secret move, which I have used to great success in the past. But once you know it's coming, the surprise is gone and it doesn't work. I'm sure it has a name, because I can't believe I invented a chess move.

I don't know about that. So far the discussion of the test has been funnier than the test itself. ^_^ My only concern is to whether this is truly offending anyone, which would be the only reason to lock the topic in my opinion.

The more I hear it, the cooler "Vega" sounds, especially in the later games when he teleports. "Vega Warp" > "Bison Warp"
