Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

The thing that needs to be fixed is proper movie header and sync settings being generated for imported movies.

So should it be so for all "all X" branches, or just for some of them?

The name of this game should be something like "Ū.fouR.ia: THE SAGA" (sorry I couldn't find the proper separators), "U-four-ia: The Saga", or at least "Ufouria: The Saga". That is to say, the subtitle shouldn't be omitted anyways.
Let's see. In-game: Ū•fouR•ia THE SAGA On the cover: Ū•fouR•iaTM THE SAGA In the manual it has Ū•four•iaTM as the game name. But it's just Ufouria as the actual name of the land the game is called by, in the manual and on the cover back. The applicable guidelines are:
  • Capitalize game names according to the rules of English language, even if official game names contradict them, unless the way they are named traditionally is against the rules.
  • Limit character set to printable ASCII characters. If the official game name contains different characters, replace them with printable ASCII characters that are close enough, like Pin-Bot for PinBot. Use the existing resources to check if there is a traditional replacement already.
So the official title of the game is stylized quite loosely, but we don't need to perfectly match it as long as there are cases where it's officially spelled in a saner way. I think Ufouria: The Saga is the nicest solution, because it's the origin of the final name of the game. Otherwise, done!

My point is, when using percentages, you know it's full completion as long as it's 100% (or more). But with those "iconic" labels, why isn't "all" enough?

I want to note that it's not rare for feedback to change diametrically just due to the fact that something is improved. Like, 30% support for some submission, and then 80% support for a 5 frame improvement.

So the branch is "game end glitch"?

Oh, btw, I found this insanely boring. The character animation looks like he's gonna break the sound barrier with his running speed, but he manages to crawl at that animation, destroying the feeling of a pace. Other than a few places where you need to jump up, it's running right for justice. No vote.

I mean other than this trick, the movie is quite optimized. Sometimes it's fine for a publication to have known improvements, if they can't be incorporated easily and are small enough. We'll have to figure this out one way or another, before I can properly judge the run.

DrD2k9, I once had a talk with natt about how console runs by real people can be faked, and about ways to disprove some fakes. In a few cases, fakes can't be disproved if you're doing a very good job faking. And he expressed this thought: Healthy skepticism isn't about being paranoid about everything. The important idea that comes from that is that while you can develop an idiot-proof system, you can't develop a moron-proof system while keeping the general freedom and happiness on the same level. Once malintent is there, it can only be fought post factum, after it's obvious that it was there. You can not insure against it beforehand. What I'm saying is, you don't need to be so suspicious when there's no reason to assume malicious intent on behalf of others (between the lines). If you understand that it's not there, then imagining what happened if it was there doesn't help.

GDQ is a very subjective criterion. Why GDQ exactly? Note that it's not a question about GDQ in itself, but about any potential resource we'd try to rely on. The answer to "Why does this particular resource make it worth borrowing the definition?" should be clear and sound reasonable. Also, it's odd that no one wants to know from the branch the exact number of items collected in cases like Metroid Fusion. Such games have rewards for 100% completion, and everyone is fine with just 100%, but not with all X somehow? The question is mostly the same: "Why this criterion exactly?" To me, there's no natural reason to use such labels, therefore any reason invented to justify that would also sound unnatural and invented just for that purpose.

Hi JeyKey_55, do you know the gba version has the Lock Screen trick. Press left and right alternately, and the scroll screen can't be changed. In SMA4, you can press ↔ → ↔ →. I believe you will know where this trick can be widely used. I'm not sure this tas can be published or not, but if you want to improve it, next time use the US version, and test and find more trick first. edit: sorry, it's ↔ ← ↔ ←.
Can anyone estimate how much time it would save?

Are there any drawbacks to using a combined branch name like "all 120 stars" or "all 96 exits" when the number itself is recognizable enough (this would also prevent large numbers to appear, as they would not be recognizable)?
Let's define "recognizable enough" first. And optionally, "iconic". I understand what they mean, but how do we formalize them to a level of being clear in all cases, which is how we set up the rules?

Release 2: https://github.com/vadosnaprimer/jpcrr/releases/tag/segmentedavi-2 Dump correct divider for 60fps mode It is known that 60fps is forced by the movie and never changes during it, so such cases won't need to hack around fps changes.

It's not like you can't work on improvements until a judge sets your submission to delayed. And how many cases of judges ignoring a delay request can you list?

A similar submission got abysmal feedback, therefore Vault only, and can't go there either, because game show games don't qualify.
