Agreed.

I estimate that well over a million individual button presses went into making my TAS, and I suppose similar estimates would hold true for many other authors as well.
Check out tastudio. You draw all the buttons with your mouse.

And if you do, make sure to work with partners, it helps to keep strong motivation in finding improvements and gives instant feedback about how good your latest wip was. Working alone, I fail to be so motivated in endless testing. But that might depend on the game (yes, I only truly enjoy tasing games I know since being a kid). Anyway, having a partner shows you unexpected possibilities.

Not up to me, even though I technically can. The point though is not "everyone who goes through these steps automatically gets the rank", but "you can't get it without them".

For a properly implemented hourglass resurrection, should it be possible to run flashplayer.exe? It allows to pass the game as a command line parameter and uses legit keyboard keys and mouse, so in theory it should.

Steps required: having commits in the official release <- making commits <- getting commit ability <- hanging on IRC.

Can anyone play flash games using gnash? I can only use win32 version and it doesn't play abobo well for example.

Notably well looking game, and I mean it: it has some really awesome graphics. But the gameplay is boring to me. Meh.

Uhhhh, such a shame it doesn't work right away. That would be the final chance for this awesome game to get a reliable TAS. The only way I could suggest is to try EVERYTHING. Every option of every plugin.

There's also an option to decompile KEmulator Lite: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=ru&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Fhabrahabr.ru%2Fpost%2F176825%2F&edit-text=&act=url It's the most feature rich emulator, but it's support has ended and the site of the author was sold out. If only I knew java....... EDIT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/riao9x3gt3gxnhk/KEmulator.jar.src.zip?dl=0

Uh, I don't even know the way to ban global hotkeys temporarily like that. As for crash, I've never had it. Can you get it with Float from parent disabled? Regarding Genesis, the reason is moving to elf, which saves the state of the entire core, but requires x64.

That has already been fixed on git. Anyway, here's the build I want you all to test hard, because it has everything I wanted to fix/add for the next release. But it won't be soon, so here's the interim. http://rghost.ru/6hTb6yBFf If it works well, I'd consider tastudio ready for the next release. The list of features to test against (starting from Apr 16, 2016): https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/commits/master?author=vadosnaprimer

I just had another bug happen where I saved my .tasproj, loaded a branch, repeatedly got spammed with this error message so that I had to close BizHawk in task manager, and BizHawk automatically saved over my .tasproj in the state of the branch I had loaded causing me to lose another couple hours of progress.
What are the details saying, and do you still have the file?

It happened again though, this time by trying to go back to a point in the TAS where there were no were no close savestates, causing it to start from frame 0, and then adding input into that section.
I fixed crashes that were happening if you save branches while seeking, and something about changing input while seeking I think. https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/commits/master?author=vadosnaprimer EDIT: Guys remind me what columns you wanted to always be hidden by default.

You should try exporting to a bk2 after every couple thousands of new frames done. I'm doing that after my first tasproj file got corrupted, and while this may be annoying, better losing ~2000 frames of work than hours of work worth tens of thousands of frames.
You don't mean Scooby Doo, right? Because the updated 7-Zip opens it just fine.

Right, it doesn't switch the core to the one in the movie. Probably that happens on other systems that have several core options. It's not a tastudio bug, report in the main bug thread.

Hetfield90, here's your project. http://rghost.ru/68RRQJTbm If that happens again, just open it with something like 7-Zip and remove the Greenzone file. The states got corrupted for some reason. Can you figure out the exact steps that reproduce your bug?
