Fast encode... Watched it. Finally you make a superb thing. It may be imrovable by some seconds, but it would require rather hard work. And it is now DEFINITELY a pub worthy. After that's published, you can go to a pub.

Post the screenshot of VD error you get. I don't know of any methods without virtualdub. Probably you have some outdated or broken version.

The first attack does no damage, but it somehow allows the rest to take effect. Whenever I make the very first hit, it does no damage, but the other ones can. And the first real attack that can damage him can't be done earlier. And if you mean the platform at frame 1736, it loses nothing, the speed is still 1.5 for all that place. But avoiding it will force me facing the warrior, losing frames jumping over him. As for the goal, no damage run is boring as hell, because all those route / damage boost decisions look cool. If this one gets rejected, one can finally try the second game, that looks WAY more difficult for such a goal.

Scaling by 8 the filesize decreases extremely comparing to x6 and stuff. Someday I'll see the size for DKC of 1.5 hour length. It shall not overcome the 3 GB border.

YT will certanly suggest you partnership, as it did to me. I just unmark all runs but 2 (or 4, they are not watched by many people, so the % is extremely low). And I registered the Adds account to some fake address. I don't want these money lol. But I find posting my own thumbnails (that mirror pub screenshots) cool. I could add other beautiful stuff, but didn't want to bother learning it. As for money, let's just find out the amount. Like, what price for each view? We don't need to donate since the site is hosted by DeHackEd, so I can't invent a way to spend these potential money. Nach's lunch? Why not.

Seeing the holywar that rule has blown into on IRC, can we just allow the original author to host his run on his own YT channel if he wants and if it's properly encoded? For guys that earn money from views, that was voiced as a critical matter (like they would stop submitting), and for guys like me it's just pleasant to have your own TAS you care about on your channel (I don't mind having a copy on TVC not linked to from the pub).

You shall use 2 slightly different samples for 16-th notes on a bass drum. Just lower the pitch A BIT and make it A LITTLE more quiet. It would sound like you use 2 kick drums.

Oh god this was really obvious! We don't need a frame perfect video after all! The Guide shall have this script for all cutsceneless GBA encodes. I also guess some other emuators allow that.

I think in some cases we can ingnore the lack of real-time action in a run that produces some true technical achievement. For example, the run entirely made by a bot was extremely boring, but the concept was cool after all. The same authour also made another submission wich caught some interest. I don't mind rejecting these 2 runs, but probably we can start publishing such things as pure tech achievements? This won't lower the site's standard in any way, because the explanation of why is such submission worthy would be inside the submission text. PS: after Garfield, I don't think we can get lower in standards of "MUCH ACTION".
