I succeeded in acquisition of Sylph Feather without boring Skull Knight battle. Although, it requires moon gravity. Link to video

Thanks, gstick. That looks helpful. BTW, any% run is possible to be improved. Current movie lost frames on opening doors and leveling up. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/36196359877892546
I'm glad. The lost frames on opening doors are due to forcible luck manipulation, maybe.

I made a video to show the possible improvements of the all furniture run. As I have mentioned in prior post, Giant Bat can be avoided, saving around 45s. Maybe I can improve the whole run by 2 minites.
Splendid improvements. I'm looking forward to the completion. BTW, I discovered a further improvement at Clock Tower. You can stick into the wall directly. I hope this will help you. OneDrive link

I tried my hand at "improving" Maxim any% using BizHawk, but was unable to finish for two reasons. One reason being that I'm losing frames everywhere, and I'm not sure if it has to do with more accurate emulation or if I'm actually doing something wrong. I know for a fact that loading times are longer, but I'm talking about gameplay: I had to come up with slightly different strategies in a few rooms to get the same warps as in the published run. Second reason being that I'm not entirely sure how to manipulate the crits I need to kill Drac, so the file stops as I enter his chamber. Could someone more knowledgeable with the game help me out?
User movie #30700566850706364 Actually, I reproduced Yuzuhara's run on BizHawk before I started my all bosses run. Is that useful? BTW, Dracula Wraith's movement depends on Maxim's Y subpixel. If you use same Y subpixel and random number, you should be able to obtain the same result of the current run.

Could you please post the lua for Bizhawk you used to make the run?

Fear not. You've performed this perfectly. Congratulations, especially on figuring out how to squeeze through the upper-left corner of the Clocktower room! I never succeeded doing that.
Thank you, klmz! OK, I'll submit it soon.

Sorry... I'm foolish. I made a new topic by mistake, could anyone merge it into the HoD topic or delete it? Moderator edit: Wish granted.

I'm sorry, dwangoAC. I should have found this topic earlier. I have no intention of submitting my JPN run but I'll redo the run on the US version. (Although it is still unclear when I'll get going.) So, here is a route which I'm planning tentatively. Pirate Frigate -Parasite Purge (1) --4-Way Combo (2) -Phazon Multiball (3) --Metroid Mania (4) --Space Pirate Panic (5) Phendrana Drifts -Break Specific Ice (6) --Defeat Boss (7) Phazon Mines -Compass Boss (8) --Defeat Boss (9) Tallon Overworld -Burrower Bash (10) -Triclops Terror (11) -Metroid Mania (12) Maybe, Tallon Overworld can be improved more than 10 seconds. (This video was recorded on the JPN version.) Management of power bombs is likely to become more important.

Hi gstick! I'm wondering why did klmz named his character "AAIIMMX" while you named it "MAXIM"? Is it faster, more entertaining, or is it just a choice?
Hi! :) The defference between MAXIM (to be exact, AIMMX) and AAIIMMX doesn't make a difference in essence. I just dislike to copy perfectly input of others.

This is a pretty awesome run! :) If I had a vote, I would vote yes certainly. BTW, I found this weird trick some days ago. I had thought of uses of it since then. And I came up with this idea while I was watching this run. I succeeded in improving more 22 frames than this run. However, there's a few lack of optimization, maybe.

I improved the previous one I had posted. :) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/915210173/RedBrinstar_Fallv2.smv By using this trick, you can save more 23 frames than Cpadolf's run, probably.

If you mean shooting the cactus enemy earlier by entering the room at a higher Y value then yes it is useful, hero and I already used it in the 100% run (my find, but it is pretty obvious if you just sit down and think about it) Otherwise I saw no other improvement. I like that you are searching for new tricks, we never get too many researchers so keep on rolling.
Hmm, what a pity! OK, I'll try to search for much further tricks. (However, I can't write text in Enligsh well as you see. So I can't join your discussion but can show you my SMVs. :) ) another http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/346350104/RedBrinstar_Fall.smv
