Coming to think of it, the level indeed wraps after just about 1.5 screens. The paths are still divergent, though, but since the claim is erroneous nevertheless, I removed it.

I'm more interested in what it will SOUND like. Would be interesting to have each game receive its own channel in 6.1 surround. Maybe have AngerFist's screams of frustration as a commentary track on the seventh channel. :o
Yeah, the low frequency channel. To faithfully reproduce grunts, rumbles and moans.

Lol, you're crazy. This sexrun will completely obliterate any future attempts at multigame TASing.

My opinion is that submitting only one track of a racing game is like submitting only one fight of a fighting game, or one stage of a platformer. I.e., incomplete for all purposes.

A similar, even an easier approach (through a different process, though) can be taken with the games that have built-in recording engines: many FPS games, certain freeware games, ElastoMania, etc. Kind of like Doom, but without custom engine with TAS tools built in. Now that you've reminded me with this thread, I think I'll try researching "external tool-assited" running some more, and maybe show some results.

Wow. Saturn makes one post, you guys make twenty in response, and the topic degrades. And DK, wtf, dude.

Yeah, and I can name many more things that everyone wants but are not to be satisfied through the means of an internet forum. If the opinions don't differ, there's no point in expressing each of them separately every single time. There's a concept known as redundancy, and it is exactly what happens.

Normally, it is possible to get away without using security software, if you make sure to regularly update the system with security fixes and all that, and using safe software. I haven't been using any kind of passive antivirus/firewall software at home for a long time, and nothing bad happened so far. I check my PC with active virus scanners every few months, and they find nothing.

I proposed that idea even before adelikat started working on his runs, and still think it would be cool.

The endings are different, though. In some of them, people die, in others a lot of people die, in one of them none die but the villain escapes.

Unrelated to this speedrun per se, but related to SDA: Is there a way to order the list of videos by date of publication (of the speedrun)?
Not until they rewrite the site engine, which is supposed to happen soon, but hasn't happened yet. Also, sorry for making the duplicate thread. I knew there weren't any explicitly recent threads on the matter since it was only published yesterday, and nothing was in the off-topic section either, so I honestly assumed there wasn't one. I suppose it could be merged into the existing one then?

I liked the flight patterns you followed between 40000—42000 the most. It's easier to track movements when they don't cover too much of the screen, and the silhouettes become more fluid as well. Oh, and don't forget to write something!

Though the "TAS-hate thread" at Mk2k is still my favorite. Definitely worth a read :)
Yeah lol, that thread contains my legendary "wall of text" post. Still can't believe I wrote that much on the subject, yet how little it changed (I guess) in the long run. Good times, good times. :) People should loosen up a lot more than that to stop taking everything personally.

True, but I neither aim to get 150+ trillions at GW, nor 100+ millions at DDP. In fact, I'd be happy to just have a 1-ALL, let alone loop it.

Why not Giga Wing?
Because I like it much more than…C-C-C-C-C-C-COME ON!…GigaWing. :P Also because I've almost cleared GW, and I've yet to come that close at DDP.

When a modern FPS game uses its game engine at full quality, the visual experience is a lot better than if it looks like a 90's game played with the first 3D card in the market. In other words, it's more entertaining.
No, it's not. I'd play Quake any day over Crysis simply because it's a better game. Thus, a lot more entertaining for me.
You still kinda missed Warp's point. He was saying that a certain run of a certain game is better viewed with higher image quality settings, not that a run of game A looks better than a run of game B because game A was released later. The thread does unveil a lot of mutual misunderstanding, though, which is pretty amusing, considering that a lot of SDA residents are being lured here as if they cared about Warp or his opinion. Still can't believe they do. [EDIT] <LinkTetra> Warp in the SDA hate thread at TASvideos continues to entertain me. Riiight, so it's an "SDA hate" thread now. Amazing.

TASvideos forums' rules of healthy communication! Rule #1: Don't take offense at whatever Saturn says. Rule #2: Don't take offense at whatever Warp says. Of course, inviting a crowd to rebut a random person's ramblings is very cool.
