Request: A Genesis action game, freescrolling (IIRC). You control a… well, robot with some awesome mechabike, which can combine or go separately (in which case you either pilot a robot with the bike going underneath, or just the robot). You're supposed to shoot stuff and probably complete some other objectives. There was a desert level and a cave level. That's all I remember about it.

The king of spades in that picture looks like some sort of spiky haired gang leader.
I thought that was moozooh.
So, uh, was I a spiky haired gang leader or a king of spades?

An improvement of over an hour over hero's TAS is incredible, considering you decided not to use the skips. I'll be waiting for the final version (don't want to spoil myself with a long testrun).

I support that idea.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php But is there much sense in making a 2-p movie? It will only be marginally faster than 1-p unless some new glitch is discovered.

I believe he meant 100%. Which I wouldn't call impossible.

But shouldn't there be a limit to collapsing (even the smallest particles have volume)? I thought there was, and the matter inside was evaporating through Hawking radiation or something.

If a new movie offers a qualitative improvement in entertainment (Excitebike being the most notable example), it will be judged accordingly.

I mean more specifically. Let's put it this way: gravitational forces make the astronomical body inside the black hole a very densely packed ball of matter (I take it explaining why it is a ball and not some other form is unnecessary). When two of these balls collide, are they both disintegrated until the gravity pulls the resulting blob into a densely packed ball? Or, are they glued together as two densely packed balls (lol, sorry)? Or is there something else?

This is actuallly an interesting question: how do black holes merge? Clearly the one with smaller mass is destroyed in the process, but how do you destroy a black hole, what happens to it during the destruction?

A valid guess would be "because it's common in their language".

Fortunately this is the case when realtime sacrifices of getting 0 ingame seconds are next to nothing. :D

You can use some cheap low-impedance dynamic headphones connected to the mic input. Not awesome, but enough for voice recording.

H320 + Rockbox. Plays every sensible sound format, including chiptunes and various types of game music + lets me play Metroid II in color. :) I need to replace a battery I "accidentally" drained by leaving the player connected to both a charger and my PC for several months in a row, though.

There is also a topic about it, with the exact same name. I heard using search is good for your health. [EDIT: Which I merged the thread into. --Bisqwit]

I can solve Expert in 0 seconds by abusing a clock stopping glitch.

I think the prize for the most underwhelmingly trivial name is forever behind Alien Soldier, an otherwise excellent game from pretty much every standpoint.

Interesting note: at the time of writing my previous post, I was at work, and the sword was clearly visible. Now that I look at the image using my old partially burnt-out LG Flatron 795FT at home, it's pretty much invisible. o_0

Indeed, it just blends with the background.

Indeed. :) I recognize it, Kejardon's avatar at m2k2 had a variation of this trick shown in reverse (which was VERY confusing).

Yes. It's been known for a long while thanks to Kej, but it requires that you enter a pause screen once to de-equip the suits, and 6 e-tanks to survive the attack, making it useless in any form of a speedrun.

I think it would make sense for SDA to make it a rule to put the display settings for games at the highest quality, because it's lame not to.
As I said previously, there is little point to that, because no runner would lower the quality settings if their computer allows recording at higher ones, and doing any kind of enforcement would only decrease the amount of runs produced.

I wouldn't care otherwise, but I believe I should make an effort to save him from an impending ban. It's not too late, even though people already are ill-disposed towards him. My advice would be either disclosing the tricks not yet found by other players, or shutting up about them until you, Saturn, finish a full run with them. That is the only sensible solution for you now.
