is this faster? is it even possible?
Apparently, catnap222 has already tried to make that spark in his set of shortcharge SMVs. I've just tested it thoroughly and come to an unsatisfying conclusion: sparking at the height of 638 pixels makes you hit the first platform, sparking at 639 makes you stop at the second. It would've been faster, if not for that platform. (Needless to say, memory watch is invaluable at times like this.)

Voting yes, also nominating these frames for a screenshot: 5:33.34, 5:34.25, 5:44.38, or 5:45.14. Yeah, the last battle is very rich on hilarious moments. :D

After doing that, I dare you to tell me what Boco's real life gender is. (Though I probably know, but I'm still curious.)

I always thought that was because the forum software interpreted the text between <> as HTML code, or something like that. Disable HTML, and everything should get displayed correctly (I'd also suggest using < and &rt;, but they don't seem to work).

It isn't classic, but I dare you beat double dragon 2 controlling both characters. (It's possible, I did it). Or Super Mario Bros 1 using just your feet. (it's possible, there's a video somewhere on the internet. I haven't tried it yet, but I don't think I'd have much trouble getting it done, maybe the hammer brothers would be the worst part).
I used to do that (controlling the second character with my feet) with Battletoads in Battlemaniacs and Golden Axe 3 when I had to get to a certain point (such as the end of second level in GA3 to test the double magic thingie). Playing Battlemaniacs through entirely like that is impossible, though — the end of the hoverbike level is damn hard even when using hands.

Mario with guns sounds nice.
Sounds very much like Yoshi's Island, except for Yoshi's cloaca instead of a gun.

Postal, because it's directed by Uwe Boll. You can't go wrong with Uwe Boll. :D Also, Bloodrayne is already out for at least a year, also by fabulous mr. Boll. ;)

No shit! Voting can't be objective. Sorry to burst your bubble. Moreover, it is supposed to be like that.

The thing is, to glitch through something, you have to get one of the game-breaking items. There is none at that point, hence no possibility to glitch out. That's why I pointed out the space/time beam.

Is Ceres Station located somewhere in the same map as the rest of the game? Is it possible to glitch outside of a room, wraparound the map, and get into Ceres Station from somewhere on the planet, or vice versa?
No. Every possible method of glitching won't work without necessary items, and I believe the space/time beam users couldn't manage to glitch out of Ceres. That's more of a question to them, though. I believe people like Kejardon and the Japanese Super Metroid community have tested such things extensively.

And regarding Ceres, I think my escape in the any% TAS with a time of 49'15 is 100% perfect by now. I spent more than a week on it alone, and even though it's more than a half year old, I still can't see any possible improvements there.
What I'm more curious about: is it possible to reproduce such escape time while saving more frames in the pre-Ridley part? It seems that the doors operate on a rather strict frame rule, especially in the escape part. As in, they won't start opening if the door sprite is "disconnected" from the wall, and it seems that there are four different frames of door shaking animation, of which only one is good, and they're running on a global timer. I'll test it later.

Sonic 3&K in a Metroid-style setting. Megaman X or Zero or something like that (pick any of them) in a Metroid-style setting. Super Metroid: Redesign in Sonic 3&K setting. Would have the potential to be interesting to play, and look absolutely awesome in a TAS.

I have no idea how you managed to save so much time (I haven't seen any of the previous runs), but the improvement is very convincing. Besides, the movie is speedy and quite hilarious — the ending scene has cracked me up. :) Well deserved yes vote! EDIT: Quick question. How come your surname was Leandro a few months ago, and became Moura since your previous submission?

bombjumping over it would be too slow/hard?
Both simple and extended diagonal jumps won't work. The only thing that seems to work is very slow hovering while adjusting my position by a couple of pixels with every bomb. I have yet to determine the fastest possible way of doing it and compare it to the possible saving an additional super missile would give. After deciding that, I can start rolling. :)

Yes, detouring into Norfair wouldn't make much sense at that point, so I'll be following Hero's (mostly) and Teri's (partially) routes.

Yes, I'm currently preparing to do this run. But first I need to figure out how to cross Craterian missile lake without taking the missile (I want to take Speed Booster instead of Ice, and 15 supers + 5 missiels instead of 10+10) and losing much time doing that.

So the game is easy. If playing with Torchic is harder than playing with Mudkip even in the slightest, then why not go with Torchic?
Because it won't even be "harder" in a TAS? Following your logic, the best choice for this game would be to catch the weakest pokemon and beat the game with him exclusively for the sake of difficulty.

Never even tried Mudkip. It was easy enough with Torchic.

Because the starter pokemon isn't necessarily tied to difficulty level? I played this game through with Torchic and his later "upgrades", and it wasn't hard at all.

I have an idea for endings and stuff. Why not have 2 full runs with different paths, in addition to this movie? Have two sets of levels: the shortest one and the longest one.
