So, this is your first submission. Let's count things that you did wrong. 1. This is submission of a hack which didn't get an approval, nor was discussed beforehand. Normally such submissions are rejected. 2. Failed to link to the hack. How would people even watch it? 3. I don't think the entire game can be completed in one minute. Does it only obtain Screw Attack? 4. Instead of describing the movie, you pasted the entire Super Metroid Tricks article onto the submission message. Could have just linked to it. 5. 11 rerecords demand an explanation. Let's try again.

Usually arcade is plainly better. I predict many cross-system obsoletions for that reason.
I don't predict that, but I sure hope for that. The only exception I can think of is Contra, because arcade Contra is complete balls. Also, wtf.

I don't know what exactly the B-up transformation does, but I voted yes on this. The game is rather good, and the character design is nothing short of awesome.

To be honest, I'm not sure "very difficult" will yield the same result as higher loops. Probably just maxed-out rank? Needs investigating.

I think losing something can only liberating when you are uncomfortable with it, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Let's consider for a minute what would happen if Bisqwit were to resign his faith. What would have become of him? I may be pessimistic, but I can't help but think it would make his life miserable, at least for some (undefined) time. It's not just realizing that Santa Claus doesn't exist.

If the dump goes with a .cue file, you should load it instead of the ISO or whatever (just a shot in the dark).

Maxing out the options also increases rank, making the game even more difficult.

I have a better idea. Beat the game nine times in a row, record a movie of this for verification purposes. Then start TASing the 10th loop and watch it unfold in all its unbeatable glory.

Most people seem to think that Nietszche's "God is dead" was a direct attack against Christianity in particular and religion in general, that Nietszche was an atheist and expressed his atheistic views with such blunt statements.
While it is true in regards to the statement above, Nietszche was an atheist, and he did directly express his views against Christianity.

http://1964emu.emulation64.com/ Maybe we can take advantage of it in some way? How does it compare to Mupen?

You list 4 Saturn shooters and forget Radiant Silvergun? For shame.
Before saying something like that, consider taking some time to envision how a Silvergun TAS would look like and how long would it be. Think about goal choices. Score? No, will make the game even longer. Swordplay? Been done. 100% kill? That's easy considering the abundance of weapons, and not impressive at all. 100% kill swordplay? Impossible due to ship speed. Playaround? Assuming you don't run out of ideas during the time, which you will (again, considering the ship speed). Either case, you have to damn like the game to tolerate an hour-long superplay made with the slowest ship in shmup history. Silvergun isn't be-all end-all of Saturn shmups. Try, uh, playing it, and comparing with other shooters available on the platform. In fact, fruitbane has a good taste. I'm pretty sure he didn't forget it, but rather purposefully didn't include it.

If it obsoletes that one there will need to be a comment anyway because it is going to look funny to have a longer run obsoleting a shorter one.
That happened more than once, and in all cases there were such comments, iirc.
