More than just a few. You've already seen JRB, which is completely dominated by them. Obviously not every star will feature BLJs, but the run will be very BLJ heavy.

You know, how about we ask mr_robert_z how many stars could be achieved by mostly BLJing. I personally doubt that many exist (surely not the majority), but he's doing the 120 star run right now so he would be the person to ask. Without his knowledge, the main base of this argument has no concrete foundation...
Like I already said, few stars use BLJ's. Trust me. :( Go watch rikku's run, except for more lobby BLJ's to skip walking around in the castle, and BLJ's on the cannon slope at the start of JRB, only used to skip a lot of swimming, nothing has changed.
Yes it has.

How about mentioning the 1 star run as well as the 16 star run? Just to give a recap of the previous low% movies that 0 star obsoletes.

Why? Surely it deserves some kind of official mention on this site?

Looking good, and the mines seemed fine... You might want to trim that file name a bit, though.

I have a high quality lower-res version that I made when I was trying to encode the run myself, before it was released...if anyone wants it urgently.

As has been mentioned, it's probably your computer that can't sync the two together.

Did you bring a camera? Maybe you could snap a few photos.

Quality isn't very good, so...no for me. As has been said, we know that it's suboptimal and will be beaten. With virtually every other run, it's "assumed" that the run is optimal and therefore is published.

That owned! A 120 star run with an average quality like that would totally blow my mind. o_O
That's the plan.

I know this isn't really that relevant, but if, in theory, there were a way to get into Level Select without altering the ROM in any way (ie, no GameShark or anything like that; maybe just certain button presses or something....in theory), and use it to go directly to BitS, would that count as a valid way of beating the game on this site?

How about trying the same BLJ but on the opposite side of the castle. Drop down through the tower, and you wont fall into a small room but you should just drop into regular water and have the freedom to swim where you want. Assuming that works, you could then swim underneath the castle floor, and then up into the basement door. See if that works.
Doesn't work.

If someone wants to recommend me things to do
Unless you're on a strict schedule you might want to consider taking a $50 New York-Toronto flight and coming to Canada for a day or two.

We intended to keep it secret

A bit contradictory there.

Sadly it was a bit suboptimal in a couple of places; you came close to beating the current record TAS, but sadly you didn't quite make it. Better luck next time though.

Cool table.
Snowman's Lost His Head, probably because there's no way to avoid running into coins somewhere along the way
The star itself is an ordinary CCCless one; the problem is that to get the head to appear, you need to have gotten the other two slide stars in the level, which aren't coinless.
Course 10, Snowman's Land (1) - Into the Igloo, because you can't avoid coins on the way
The coins are no problem; the thing is that it needs the Vanish cap.

On behalf of this guy, you could add this: www.youtube.com/ShadowOfMyles. Unassisted SM64 runs.

In about 2000-ish, we bought ourselves an interweb because high-speed was becoming popular. Being new to the technology, I got a friend to help me set up the basic necessities like email. He was doing all the typing, and when it came time to put in the username for the email address, I suggested mr_robert_z, because it sounded kind of classy (it also happened to include by first name and initial). So, he put it in, but made a typo, putting adding an "s" to the first name. By the time we caught the mistake, it was too late, and the name was set. At the time, I thought an email address was with you for life, and I had no idea you could just make a new one. To not get confused, I just used it as my username on some internet forums (ie, TASVideos and GameFAQs). The end.

I consider myself an expert at Link: Zelda's Awakening, having spent many an hour playing on the ol' SNES. Therefore, in my expert opinion, this speedrun should be published so it can stand mightily beside the other games in the Tale of Zelda series. I must confess I was particularly entertained by the Ganong battle. Seriously though, even better than the last one (though the J ROM refusal still sucks). Yes vote.
