The presence of runs for Air, Air 2 or Hard Relay Mario basically take the place of an SMB playaround, which would be uninteresting on its own. Both runs serve one purpose: to show off crazy SMB engine glitches, so there is no reason why this run shouldn't have obsoleted mine. TASVideos does not have to be a comprehensive resource of SMB glitchhack TASes.

I fully support this movie obsoleting Air 2. It is more varied, more technically precise, and more entertaining overall. I commend HappyLee for being able to make such an optimized run from such a bitch of a rom hack. That being said, I believe the run may be just a bit too fast, and some of the solutions are skipped over. In a run like this I think it's important to show off the game as intended. However, as it stands, the run is still superior to my Air 2 run in every way. Well done!

Midnight Wanderers, an arcade title from the Three Wonders PCB by Capcom, is a beautiful game and is a blast to play if you like side scrolling action games. Kind of like Ghouls n Ghosts but far less brutal (in fact, a bit easy in my experience; I'm able to reach the final boss on one credit after only two weeks with it).

my feeling is that default settings are appropriate for any kind of superplay, given that the nature of arcade games makes "medium" hard enough as it is

wouldn't choosing level 4 lessen the necessity of using continues to save time? I know it's in the guidelines to choose the hardest difficulty but in this game that just means plugging away at bosses longer. not that I'm suggesting you throw away the whole run and redo it at a lower difficulty, just something to consider for future runs of arcade games with similar set-ups I really enjoyed the run, by the way, it's just the continuing is a rather large issue for me

my problem is that in any non-assisted run of an arcade game, there's absolutely no question about it: don't continue. it's a tas, and tases aren't about skill, I understand, but continuing just cheapens the experience for me. therefore, my personal opinion on the matter is that it shouldn't be published.

bisqwit's old submission is better. it went directly to the action and had a large handicap, and both games' ai are pretty equally awful. nice to see another go-related submission, though

On Harder mode, medals drop more quickly, there's more bullets, etc. Anyway, I don't think any cheats are going to be required to jack the rank up to max, anything you do in the game besides moving and changing your options (to a non-secret formation, that is) increases your rank, and the only thing that decreases it is dying. This is yet another arcade game I would be interested in doing if I could get fba-rr compiled or working in wine

I am very, very interested in a Shinobi run. If I can get this emulator together I might try it myself, but I'm not hopeful about fba-rr compiling or working in wine I would recommend getting all the special bonuses, where you just use the knife/sword instead of shurikens/bullets
