I too love multi-game TASes. This is very entertaining. Yes Vote.

Dang! How low can you go? Any chance that I can push you for sub 6? :)

I've spent the last 4 months revisiting my earlier submission of Krusty's Super Fun House. One thing that I have noticed, is that this game is like chess. After I sat down and studied the reasons that make this game faster...I realized that I had a flawed approach. Even though I have currently cut 5149 frames from my original submission, I am still on the hunt for more frames. Here are some details that I believe will explain my latest findings: 1. When rats are in close quarters, getting a single rat in the chamber as fast as possible is top priority. 2. When rats are spread across widely enough that the cycle of the death chamber can complete before the next rat enters, gives indication on where to focus attention. What I mean by this is, that some rats may be in a line where some are 1 block from each other while others are several blocks apart. You want to focus on how to manage the tighter group, without ignoring the advantage of the first rat being ahead. 3. You have to eliminate all falls and climbs, as much as possible. Even a rat going over one block wastes 16 frames. 4. Sometimes the last rat is a focus, when having to deal with many rats at a time. For example, if there is a lot of chaos trying to set up a pathway for many rats...you have to take in consideration how it will affect the ending rat. There are times when too much going on can hurt the time is takes to have a last rat make it in time. One particular spot...I have to slow down a number of rats in order to "clump" them together to make it faster. 5. The Death chamber entrances are superficial....meaning, if you have a rat enter one of the bottom entrances, it is no different than if you "Fan" a rat over into the top part of the chamber. It is basically, one big hit box. 6 The death chamber operates on an 8 frame rule. If you end up getting back to the door before the rats are finished, then cutting up to 7 frames may not give you an advantage...depending on if you hit the 8 frame rule on the very first part. 7. Krusty's jumping acceleration is maintained longer, if you hold the jump button longer. This goes without saying, but I bring this up to demonstrate an important fact. If you are in tight quarters, jumping longer can help you "Clear" obstacles faster. 8. Krusty has an acceleration address that builds up to indicate how fast his movement is, in terms of horizontal speed. When in tight quarters (where you cannot move left or right), you can press the opposite direction for one frame and then press forward to get this value incrementing faster. In a turn (which is that tight), the value is not reset...giving you a frame or two advantage. One thing to note, you have to be facing in the forward direction for this to work. {NOTHING}, FORWARD, BACK, FORWARD is the inputs that you want. I'm also currently glitch hunting. It is sad that the only glitch that I've run across is clipping. But it is very limited. In fact, it is use only a couple of places to help create a route that is more efficient. In fact, one particular spot helped to cut around 8 seconds. But there are no floors to be clipping that will make a difference. How clipping works in this game. If you are about to place a block down AND you have 1 block of space above you, then you can place the block down at the point when Krusty either passes from the 8th to 9th pixel or 9th to 8th pixel...depending on your direction. Once executed, you will get pushed into a block that would have normally kept you from moving. The problem is, you can't move up, if another block is above you. You can't move left or right, if blocks are next to you. So, you can clip a floor in this manner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y9xuUGExCM I expect to still find more frames, but it is becoming more painful to find them. If I can't find a frame after a month's worth of trying, then I will go back to fill in the "Dead" space and make my final submission (I hope the final). This newer version is much more active and also doesn't sit around the door as much. I would say that about 20% of the door twitching time has been removed. :)

I've known about this TAS for about a year and have been excited to see it finally finished. One thing you can count on...sniq doesn't leave any frames to be found! Yes vote.

This is correct. When I played this, back in my college days, I had to turn off all the lights and hope that I could see what was going on. The darkness for me added a bit of anxiety...wondering if I could tell what was going on. I was caught by surprise many many times.

This was a game that I never purchased or tried at all; however, I love racing games and I'm disappointed that I've never gave it a chance. After looking up the WR for 100%, your TAS does show some strength, even though I can't tell from the video on speedrun.com if the same code was applied. Anyway, the same issue with using codes or cheats is being address in the run from Rewstarr's submission of Road Rash II.

We have this rule: http://tasvideos.org/MovieRules.html#WeAllowPlayingUnlockableContentUsingInGamePasswords So in principle, it's allowed to unlock hidden stuff with cheats or passwords, it just also has to be entertaining enough for Moons as a side branch, Demonstration kind of goal in the case of this run and Biker Mice.
I love seeing such fast and tight hazard avoidance. This 100% category is way longer than I expected, but it blows the WR away by roughly 24 minutes over the record by Yoschimidtsu. Some things that I've notice...seems that the driving got better by 25% to 50% into the TAS. I'm also wondering how much time is gained by cutting into the the grass vs the car loss speed. I know that there is a balance, but just curious if you can step in and explain how you came up with the routing to accommodate for the fastest speed that you knew how to get. One of my favorite things to see was how you would pass a car that would show up for only a hand full of frames on the screen. Lastly, even though this run seems to be humanly impossible...the low percentage of re-records to the entire frame count seems to be out of balance. I can imagine, with a lot more re-records, something else can be found. My own experiences have shown that if you keep trying...more can be found. With all this said, I certainly am voting YES to this and look forward to any future revisions you may have planned.

Aside from only having one level and a low re-record count, I was quite surprised how entertaining this was. From the very start of this run, I was quickly drawn in by the crazy jumping and hazard avoidance. In fact, the ending was totally worth it...The "Death" finish was a great touch and made me laugh. I would encourage you to add the other 4 levels, as this is on the right track...no pun intended. :) Also, with a low re-record count, I can imagine this TAS can be even more crazy than it already is. As you will see from other great and successful TASes on this site, the key is always heavy experimentation, which leads to many, many re-records. The commitment to a high re-record count will certainly show the effort to removing as many frames as possible and will be extremely rewarding in the end. Yes vote.

Although this is not the most exciting game, this TAS does demonstrate one thing that I feel is worthy of publication... From a visual perspective, it never stops for one frame to correct a situation or wait for a scenario to occur, from what I can tell. This is important for me to see an edge over a human run. From what I gather, it would be impossible for a human to complete this in the same manner. Yes vote.

Wow! I haven't seen this game since the early 80's and didn't even know that Sega put it out on the CD. YES! Vote I don't think people will actually know how hard this game was, seeing that you had to know the right input at the right time. When I tried this way back when, i was wasting quarters to just guess what move to make next. Finally nice to see how this game played all the way to the end. Nice job.

Good run. The beginning started off rather slow for entertainment...but, it got better and better. So, it took you months to do this? Thanks Moth for that article. Seems I have missed some information, but wasn't sure that their was a definite statement on considering it a hoax. When I first started looking into this...I wasn't sure either way. But this TAS (and previous submission) is surely putting that to rest as a hoax.

Wow...I'm impressed. As with Omnigamer's effort, the disassembly of this game takes it a new level. I was about 7 when the Atari came out and never realized it would still be reversed engineered to this day. This was back in the day when Machine Language / Assembly writing was just about he only way to take advantage of small "On-Board" memory and slow processing. Most of these older Atari games don't entertain me much, but the effort for invalidating Todd Roger's 5.51 through TASing, has absolutely entertained me. YES YES YES! P.S. My opinion of Todd's WR run: I originally was thinking it could have been a hardware burp, but his demonstration in front of Activision (on another machine, I believe) should have proved that it wasn't. With the level of TASing Mr Wint has shown over his past submissions, this submission is enough to make me start believing that the human WR is a hoax.

but it just doesn't have enough entertaining content to compensate for its length. The music gets annoying, the actual puzzle solutions aren't always comprehensible, twitching around the exit to spend the downtime doesn't add much value on it own.
This is completely understandable. One of my goals in TASing, especially one that hasn't been submitted before, is to find a theoretical completion time. As expected, the entertainment mostly came from those burst of maneuvers that organized the rats to their final destination...yet, I know that most viewers would have had something to say about sitting around doing nothing; however, with very limited movement capabilities...it was a struggle to try and figure out something.

In regards to the intense parts...those were the times that I enjoyed it the most. During each of those frames, there was something to ponder. Even though this TAS took almost 4 months to make, that time was due to the intensity that you referred to. The other parts were just completing the game...because it had to be done.
