You have a submission error. Your movie file is 50 frames long. Obviously, this is a mistake. Can you please upload an updated movie file to the WIP / User file area and I will replace.

Cactur_, remember...you don't have to leave blank input at the end of your file in order for the movie to continue. I trimmed it out, but just take note of that in the future. 2148 frames were cut, which made a huge dent in your time.

Just curious if you have watched AVGN yet on the Action 52 games?

I've been trying to figure this game out and I need some feedback from the community please. This is a weird one and I've tried comparing it to some speed-runs...which I'm not quite sure of. This TAS appears to complete the objective, but I would like to hear some more on the subject.

longbao, if you are having trouble writing up your submission details, you can write up your submission notes in your native language. We can use google translate on this end. What we need from you are details pertaining to your ROM usage and notes on where to get the IPS file being used. In addition, any notes on the run itself will be helpful in judging.

longbao, I've noticed over the history of your submissions that your notes are extremely lacking in details for us to properly analyze your work. This one is no exception, as we have confusion still yet to sift through. Please response with some details that answers the question that FractalFusion has, as well as any other details that can help me to finalize my judgement of this submission. Thanks.

LGR, I think you missed the private message I sent you. i just wanted to bring out a problem with your TAS. There is one optimization area that sticks out a lot at 1:09. Because of this, there might be issues elsewhere that you are not cutting the corners tight enough. Can you please look into this and correct?

Good eye. There are a few problems though: During actual play, the timer runs much faster than during the "Tallying" time, after winning a round. So each bounce costs a lot and I had to balance the setting just in order to make it through this game. When I started, I used the fastest value of "1", which basically...I couldn't complete a level, as the time was gone before I could get up to the top. So, I increased it by 1, until I was able to get through a number of levels. Thereafter, it was pretty much safe. So, as you stated...if I just waited, the ball would have bounced one too many times and the time would have been gone. Sorry, it was hard to control....but theoretically, you are right.

Ok. The only level that I had concerns over was the 9th screen. I don't have any ideas on how to improve anything else. For this particular submission, you can resume judging.

DrD2k9...After that simple routing that you brought up, I'm going to hold off on my newest improvement for a day or so. I think I have too much of the Coleco version in me to see things clearly. So far, I've found 40 more frames...for a total of 55 since your suggestion. I don't want to confuse you with any downloads, that you might already have, by me constantly uploading improvements. I'll report back when I've updated it.

I remember a game that was in the manual for the vic-20 called Dam Busters. Can't wait to see it. LGR, if you like...I can show you how to create you own encodes. It could grab a lot more attention on your submissions.

Mihoru...please note that you do not have to cancel your own submissions, if you happen to find improvements. Just upload them to the WIP / User File area, paste the link here in the discussion thread. That way, our staff can replace the existing submission movie file.

I've seen a lot of activity and I'm ready to finalize this submission. There has been some WIP's uploaded that I am not seeing any mention of here. Maybe its for the other submission?. Just want to be sure before I continue. Additionally, are we looking at Co-Authorship in this matter? I saw Tompa mentioned.

Memory, just so that you know...ever since my "Race Ace" submission, I came up with an idea on how to end input earlier with this game. I've ended it 314 frames earlier at this point, but I keep running scenarios over and over, just to be sure. I suppose this could go on forever, but I'm going to have eventually stop it. So if you haven't downloaded the current movie files, I could replace it...if you don't mind.

I had been hoping for a game that had extended cuts like this, but I never expected it from a simple "Type-In" game from Compute's Gazette. :D

Yeah, that was the sole reason for holding off on submitting. I was hoping to come up with something. As I've noticed...most Colecovision games don't control RNG like the C64. In this case, Grog has a mission of his own. I could have turned the corner of his place and lured him, but that would have been longer than the wait at that one spot. Oh well...

LGR...I need for you to take a look at the WR speedrun. Even with your 4 frames improvement, your TAS is not faster. I watched both, side-by-side, and there are quite a few seconds difference. https://www.speedrun.com/adm/run/y4ow1rkz Both are declared at any%...so please help me understand why there is a significant difference. Both runs take a dramatic difference in routing, so if you need to redo this TAS...we can put it on "Delayed" for the moment.

The TAS is, as one could guess, perfect. Super intensive, pleasure to watch, immensenly packed with action, 9 (?) blinking targets shot, superb overall. Easy Yes vote, good job man : )
I tend to agree with you. I believe I was given this game by my uncle...so I didn't have the manual. So my brother and I played this for long periods of time and would rarely run across the big city. Now having the internet....I was able to research the strategy's and goals. The only thing left over was to figure a way out to change RNG to get those "Flashing" targets to show up. Because I got the required "Eight" targets before the first "Landing", I knew that I had solved the fastest time. This left me to figuring out how to end input early. Thankfully, the "Start Screen" options had a "Gravity" selection...otherwise this wouldn't have been possible. Thanks for the kind words. Glad to see someone who knew this game and appreciates it. :)

eladogGames...I need for you take a look at the mentioned "user file" from Spikestuff. I'm going to give you chance to cancel your submission, if you are not able to improve on this or work with the existing author to combine your work. Additionally, there are a few things that I would like to have done on your submissions (future ones) 1. Your encodes can be added to the submission field: "Encode Embedded Link". Please use that instead. Some submissions are overlooked by members, simply because they don't see a video for your work on the inital page. 2. Submission notes shouldn't be omitted. These can be helpful to demonstrate your work and clear up questions that members may have.
