The Kain cutscene playarounds won me over. Voted yes.

I think the description would be improved by explaining why each item is needed. For example, is the deku stick required to complete the game? Or is it just a choice you made for an arbitrary item to duplicate over when anything would do, and it was just the most convenient?
I agree. This has been added.

What ais523 possibly means is that it'd be good if the set of all possible item-combinations (consisting of 16 items each) could be listed (or maybe the item-combination that was used is unique?), and maybe some argumentation on why the task could not be done with fewer items, based on the current level of understanding of the game. Furthermore, it could help to read the Submission Instructions ( http://tasvideos.org/SubmissionInstructions.html ) for possible updates of the submission text, aswell as to go through the Movie Class Guidelines ( http://tasvideos.org/MovieClassGuidelines.html ) in order to add the proper goal tags that (shall) apply to the movie, aswell as to indicate with respect to what method of measuring time the movie was optimized (examples: minimizing the value of the final In-Game time; reaching the credits in as few frames as possible; reaching the credits such that the frame that carries the last input(s) is minimized).
Goal tags have been added. For the item combination, this specific combination is the only one that allows us to finish the game with this item count. As for the timing method, Majora's Mask doesn't keep track of IGT, and "reaching the credits in as few frames as possible" and "reaching the credits such that the frame that carries the last input(s) is minimized" are the same thing in this game, so I didn't think that would be necessary.

Provide a fixed file and I'll replace it.
Great, thanks. Where can I upload this to?

Well, I made a mistake with the input file. There's about 7 minutes of blank inputs at the end of the file. Is there any way I can get this fixed? It doesn't look like I can swap out the input file I submitted with a fixed one.

I think wrong warp was discovered right before SwordlessLink's old MST TAS was submitted and it was still accepted, so Fox probably could've still gotten his TAS in, but he wanted to redo it because the new glitch makes such a big difference.
I was wrong, Fox isn't redoing his any% TAS. The point remains the same though, that a TAS can still be accepted even if a big discovery is found mid-run and isn't used.

Dizzyingly fast I like the version with the map script, it makes it much easier to keep up with what's happening

It's an interesting question that if years of work have been put into a particular TAS, and it's nearing completion, and then a new glitch is discovered that pretty much nullifies all the work and requires starting almost from scratch, whether the existing work could still be published, even though it's known to be sub-optimal. It would indeed be quite harsh to just throw years of work away because of such a technicality.

I just wish we could finally have a proper any% TAS of OoT, using all the most modern routes and glitches. For some reason this seems to be the only game for which there exists TASes, just not an any% one (which usually is the default fastest-possible game completion).
A TAS using all the modern tricks probably wouldn't even be accepted on TASVideos, since the GIM any% uses crashes on N64
