This is an oddly specific scenario, so I will try to explain it the best I can I started recording a TAS of Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis last night on version 2.2 of BizHawk I just finished the game today and I was pretty proud of the run, so I saved it and tried to go back and record it. It plays perfectly until the end of Spring Yard Zone Act 1 / the beginning of the special zone getting the fifth Chaos Emerald No matter how many times I try to play it back, it messes up at that exact instance. I have tried restarting the emulator several times, but nothing. Does this mean I have to re-record my TAS from that point onward? I can send the exact files I used to whoever wants to take a look at this and see if there is any fix Edit I did not use any savestates for this run, I just used the rewind / pause feature to go back frequently

You forgot the important thing in that post. What version of DeSmuME are you using?
0.9.12, I think it was the latest on their site

I was doing a test recording of Kirby Squeak Squad and it seemingly works perfectly? I know for a fact it has every input captured Starting a movie playback retains the save file instead of starting a new game, so I am awkwardly thrown in watching Kirby completely out of sync I try to delete my save file and it starts normally, but after it exits the first stage where I assume it writes a save I get the "this game has failed to write" error. I'm not really sure what to do next

Record from SaveRam. (File > Movie > Record Movie)
Thank you for that. Sorry for such a silly question, I only just started learning how to do this a few days ago lol

I just finished TASing Mega Man Zero 4, and I wanted to go back and do the same with hard mode. But I noticed that it clears out my save file every time I try to. The only way to access the harder difficulty is by having a save file with clear data on it Is there any way I can force BizHawk to load a save file for a game I am trying to record?

Is there any way to hide the frame / input data on the upper left of Gens? Or is there a better way to play back TAS footage now?

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/40608078650579692 Here is a converson from Mupen to BizHawk for this run. I didn't see that exact plug in settings to convert with so I just used the defaults. (I'll even submit it if you want, since it's been like a week already might as well wrap this up)
How did you convert it from Mupen to BizHawk? I just played it back and was surprised with how well it ran. I'd love to be able to convert other Mupen runs to a native BizHawk format, since the Lua script bugs out on me often
