Oh, so Galoob actually twisted most of the letter and hexidecimals around to try to "hide" the actual memory addresses to keep us guessing. Why would they make cheat-code hacking that confidential?! They weren't as easy as PSX GameShark, I can tell ya that!

...and this thread has been brought to you today - by the letters P, O, Z, X, L, U, G, K, I, S, T, V, Y, and N, in which none of those letters belong to the hexidecimal rule (0-9, A-F). What I'm saying here is that even though it is easy to translate Game Genie codes to hex addresses, it is strictly impossible to translate hex addresses back to Game Genie codes. There's a big difference here, but good luck! =)

Hmm, would Bisqwit accept this if it contained a short entertainment tradeoff at the first enemy base, where the players shoots to the beats of the BGM?

The moment I get the chance, I might study this game a little. It's the same thing and layout as Tengen's Super Sprint; both games have "one-screen" tracks, four different cars, and enhancements.

Hmm, I am wondering how this game would fall within the tool-assisted category?! If this was a TAS-able game, the objective would be to:
  • Aim for fastest time on each one-screen track
  • Manipulate Luck
The game does have some heavy walls; I wish there was a way to try to jump over them or break through them just to abuse it as a glitch and save some time. There's no telling what we can pull out of this game, but it can get boring, especially 4 players. The game has about 100 tracks!

This NES processor chip somehow could not handle the elimination of 9 viruses altogether. If you do a speed run of this game, set up to get rid of maybe 6 viruses at a time. Then keep challenging the limits of the system by going for 7, 8, and what not.

I gotta post again, truly unbelievable! I never thought Simon still had a faster speed coming off that tornado from the Jam Wasteland. I didn't realize that Simon could move a few more pixels to the left just to glitch through a wall. And I never even knew there was a hidden area at the underwater mansion! I call this the best of the best!

Has there been a glitch where Samus can skip the Ceres scene?!

Definitely a + ! I can't wait to see the video, or put me in charge of encoding?! =)

The following links below is my collection of spells (used with GameShark) that abuse serious programming errors in this game! No speed run intended, but these spells were only supposed to be used by enemies and bosses! Some work great, some don't, and some would display serious glitches but still work! Here's what I got so far (11 videos, 32 minutes total): 1 - Vahn's Mystic Shield 2 - Chaos Flare and Guilty Cross 3 - 4 more spells (Steal, Water Column, V-Windhash, Cross Beam) 4 - Bloody Horns and Water Crystals 5 - Vahn's "READ" Kiss of Death 6 - Rolling Flare and Divide 7 - Jugger Power and "BACK READ" Doomsday 8 - Gala mocking the Delilases! 9 - Noa mocking the Delilases! 10 - Vahn mocking the Delilases! 11 - Hyper Lightning (newest) If LoL was a game to TAS through, could it take 3 hours top notch to beat?

Playing Mega Man 1/2/3/4/5/6 at once is like going to an arcade game hall and hearing all the sounds of games from different angles. It's not a complete run, so it does take a lot more effort than that. Your run is great, however, that's not enough for me to give you a +. Take your time and understand what more you should pull from all six versions of Mega Man, and I'll consider you one of the ultimate gamers of TASVideos today. Until then, sorry, voting no.

Cool, nice find. So the CV2 could be improved. I'd like to do it. :)
Yes, please! I really enjoyed your recent submission, so I am sure you might shed a minute or two off.

I am surprised this game did not have a good ending. But your input gives this another + !

Call this gruefood, period. Total Recall did get both good and bad results, but I personally can't see this as publication bound. Even if it can be beat in 6'40 - there is still no way this can make it to the archives. Thanx for support!

And that will be a challenge, too. We need an arcade emulator with re-record support first.

A TAS of the arcade version would obviously be better than either of these versions...

I spent day in and day out looking at GameShark codes plugged into PSX Legend of Legaia. I hacked at least three working spells that Meta/Terra/Ozma can safely summon. Mystic Shield Chaos Flare and Guilty Cross I'll upload some more weird boss spells soon. =) Legend of Legaia is a kick-ass game, until you put the GameShark in front of it, that's where you'll end up in program-error land! :P

I found a Japanese version of Final Fight where it has different character names and appearances from the American version. I need some good comparisons between both versions before I make plans to give this a try. Breakdown between both versions found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fight

Let me bring this up, I was able to get three rations on a 1-star rank. But I am getting to know this game first before I even attempt to speed-run it. It takes time to study.

If I am correct, another thing to look at. When Zoizite placed in the code for armorless Samus, it looked like she was able to jump slightly higher than the Samus with armor. If that's true, then what more should we expect?

Question between this game and the rules: I can't use passwords in a speed run, but can I use one that would allow me to abuse significant glitches in this game? I been using 397BFFA5 to play "Programming Errors vs. Chicago Bears" in the last game. If I do, strategy would simply be to move the ball WITHOUT selecting a single offensive play. Selecting an offensive play will cause players to get stuck completely. I would use either Field Goal or Punt Kick. I verify that if I have a distance short enough to the end zone, I would try the 3-point field goal. If I am too far, I punt-kick as close to the end zone as possible so that my defense would be likely to get a 2-point safety.

Hmm, okay... Bisqwit said that movie was boring, and I'll have to look at that. Another thing that would concern me is that I am not sure a glitch or two was discovered during play-through. I'll have to study this movie and the game carefully, this looks like a challenge =/

This is a shoot-em-up game, but this game can be played either with a standard keyboard with directional controls, or by simulating a Super Scope 6/Zapper with the mouse. I don't know if slow-downs in SNES9x can help improve the behavior and use of the mouse, but if it does, I might go for this game and TAS it. It has a never-ending shooting range, but it does have about five missions. But what's funny about this game is simply that the push-start screen almost looks exactly like the beginning of "Dirty Harry II: Magnum Force" =P Has this game been TAS'ed before?
