After we discovered this speedrun route works on console and BGB but not Gambatte/Bizhawk we investigated a little and found out that the issue is caused by Gambatte's implementation of bankswitching for MBC5 specifically. MBC5 is capable of bankswitching to bank 0 (having bank 0 accessible from 4000-7FFF as well as 0000-3FFF) but (lib)gambatte assumes that any bankswitch to bank 0 retrieves bank 1 instead like in earlier MBCs.. This particular glitch setup causes Pokemon Yellow's audio engine to bankswitch to bank 0 and read invalid data from there. The invalid data in bank 0 leaves the game in a more stable state where we can proceed to catch Missingno, while the equivalent data in bank 1 instead softlocks the game. TL;DR: this inaccuracy is caused by an inaccuracy in gambatte's MBC5 emulation, to fix it adjust Gambatte's MBC5.adjustedRombank function to allow bank switches to bank 0.
Fixed in SVN, thanks.
Wait, this is fixed yet ? Where can I download it ?

If I send you the movie so you could see that the sound doesn't correctly load, would that help you seeing how Gambatte is wrong ?

Well, I don't know how exactly. That's sad I can't use my favorite emulator. I did that run a bit with BGB, and apparently, we load a special value that matches with the special stat of the last pokémon met into a sound value with the use of the trainer-flying glitch. I don't know if that could help you, however I hope you'll do a patch to fix that :)

In the current route of Pokémon Yellow No Save Corruption, we use a sound loading trick that works on the original versions of the game, that works on the BGB emulator, but that doesn't work on Gambatte for Bizhawk. However, I love Emuhawk, is there a way to load another "kind" of emulator (not Gambatte) for BizHawk ?

What ?! There were B button pressed in this movie. While watching the encode, my eyes didn't see any B button pressed. Why "no jump" if B is pressed ?

Are AGDQ2015 TASes resources released or will be released publicly ? I checked on TASes forum and on entries, I haven't found it yet. Maybe I missed it ?

Also, you "supposed" that walking is faster than jumping? That implies that you didn't bother checking.
Alf's animation takes very long time and he jumps not very fast so, now I am sure, walking is faster

I'm loving the rerecord counts on these two new movies. It certainly doesn't scream "I'm hiding the fact that I put no effort into my movies of a shitty, unentertaining game".
Oh wait, I used my combine program to combine two movies. My rerecords account is around 100. I gotta go modify this, obviously, the rerecords amount is false, my bad

This looks like just playing the game three times, what makes this the "true ending"?
At 3:43 on the YouTube video, you can see the dev name below the game. It was very rare to enclude a name on a Atari 2600 game. Maybe "true ending" isn't the right term, maybe showing credits or stuff like that.

As I said, I have huge troubles with save states and rerecords on HourGlass. So, I did all this TAS with one playthrough. I used BHop on this video, but I guess I can show you the HPG and how it works. I hope you'll be lucky with Perspective TAS :)

Perspective is a game made by Shaun Spalding. Perspective is a reflexion plateformer made with GM8.1. It happens before Another Perspective. I started to TAS it, but considering I have heavy troubles with rerecords, I can only give you firsts level TAS. Here is the route planning I started to do : File I use 2 speedruns strats : The Bunny Hop : Jump for 2-3 frames and release the jump button. The Hover Packing Glitch : The Momentum when you switch resets your physics. You just have to strafe key at the right moment. I made some calculations about The Hover Packing Glitch : To be straight horizontally, you need to switch and strafe and reswitch. The time before strafe and reswitch must be 1 or 2 frames else you will go down. It is rarely used because it will take too much time. Here are the three first levels : <edit> If you are skilled with HourGlass, you can continue my project, I give up for now and good luck.

I believe the flower in the ET game is just a one-up item; it is not something that is required for "100% completion". Therefore I don't feel that "flower%" counts as a distinct branch for this game.
Can you collect it more than once?
No

I believe that reviving the flower is a category itself. In speedrun, it requires different routes than any%. Also, I like to see this category as respecting the movie. So why not ?
