Both! Place the controlleror keyboard on the floor and use your foot so it acts like a pedal for frame advance and use the other for the actual gameplay!

If recording for a connected game, like zsnes and zbattlenet, a judge can join and have the person perform some actions at the stalling points of games, like at a cutscene or menu to insure the person is really playing.

Would it be possible for us to set a server up so we can have the emulators instantly send tases or input to it (or only let us play while connected) and detect if a save state has or hasnt been loaded? This would make the competition forum more fun and legitimate and give true single segment runs.

I dont think using a different versionen of the game will increase your chances of getting this published.

Mine would be NES. The simple animations make it easy to get a handle on the optimum time to execute a button press. Although it is more fun watching a fluid animated 16 bit game done really fast.

You would of course have to spin through the loops but besides that would it be fun if you limited yourself to not reaching the running speed?

Have you noticed what things you spend time less on so you can watch or make runs? I sometimes have to take a step back because it can get addicting but i guess that could happen with anything.

I was originally going to say no but if you take the idea of concentrating on 2 movies at time then it is entertaining. Setting up the movie or focusing on which windows to watch is something the viewer has to solve on their own and shouldnt be included in if the actual run is entertaining.

I just tried using right in a genesis game and it worked. I tried using right in a different nes game and it came out as left. So it must only be nes.

Oh... Thanks for the heads up. Yeah so this game seems cool. I am very lazy so nobody wait on me to do this game.

There are alot of popular sites with old Dos games. They remove them at the request of the authors so i dont see the problem with posting them here?

I think alot of us have been getting in the trend latley to disregard runs as not intresting enough but then why do we come here? If we have that attitude why even play video games? So should something be judged intresting to everyone who views it or just to the person who has an emotional attachment and history with the game?
