There are some games that make me wonder why a certain platform wasn't more successful. This isn't one of them. Anyhow the game is kinda blah for me, but the TAS showed skill and I suppose as a pack-in game it should be published.

I liked the run and would love to see an ingame time run as well. Yes vote.

You have to use this rom extender on it before you patch it: http://homepage.mac.com/qubedstudios/Mario64Tools.htm

For more information on the game: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/547/ It appears to be a fairly significant and complete Mario 64 hack. Has anyone thought about TASing this?

It probably desynchs because it resets the emulator and not the rom, wich is probably the reason why we have the rule in the first place. If you reset the emulator you can't reproduce the result every time, let alone on different computers.
This isn't it. MM is just a pain to sync in mupen. I've had much frustration playing back the previous MM runs on the emulator and the authors have much more to deal with.

A very nice improvement to a very underrated game. I'm with moozooh for the 100% run. Hope you'll do that one too.

I think the use of save manipulation is what sets the categories apart. This is what really what did it for Super Metroid as quitting the gave to mess with saving isn't quite what people expect from playing a game. That said there were many glitches discovered after hero's run and it is quite old, then again GuanoBowl's OoT run is still here in a very similar scenario. People like both runs for different reasons and that's ultimately why I think there should be two categories. At this point I think save manipulation is what sets them apart, although I'm not sure whether item duplication and other stuff is a part of this.

I'm wondering about the pipe thing too. Also, why did you save at every chance? A good choice for a first DS game, although I'm wondering how stable DeSmuME is development wise...

There's one thing I wonder, would a different scenario result in shorter ending animations?

The wall bumps annoy me. I really don't care about a little extra shooting but it's really noticable and looks like it wasn't optimized at all. My main problem with this run is that it bores me to tears. The levels are way too boring. Also at around the 9 minute mark you land all the way against the right wall and then go left. Seems like it would be faster to land as far left as possible. Lots of the landing and movement looks questionable. It doesn't look like frame advance was employed to the full extent possible. Perhaps finding memory addresses for X and Y can improve this. Voting 4/5.

Super Bomberman 3-5 are the main 5p ones, though it's really only for multiplayer. The others are mostly sports games and some racing.

the good thing is, that the any% category is pushed to it's limits now, so you don't have to be frightend, that there will be new major thinks discovered

The argument is that the finished movie file should be viewable by everyone as well. I'd get with Bisqwit before committing to antids.

This is an excellent addition to the site, but it still should be in the Concept Demos section because of all the work AGTP did polishing and translating it.

I think that the damage he took when he hit the bottom of the moat reset the status to not be underwater. Lazy plane collision detection will only check if something crosses the plane, so anything after that will be ok.

I don't really understand how that could be faster without the zora's mask, you know unless if somehow the scene that you got the mask is longer than the fight you just did. Question: Would you be able to use that arrow + bottle dive to get the zora eggs in both the pirates fortress and the eel pit?
If you can get into GBT without the mask, it'll be possible to skip much more than just the mask scene. It'll also let us skip a bottle and pirate's fortress once.

It could be an issue with the video settings. Try switching to OpenGL rendering. It may happen only on certain types of video cards too. Sometimes things have problems on ATI or Nvidia cards only.

Excellent work. Liked the new tricks and optimization. I didn't think it would be that different from the last movie, but it kept me watching the whole time. I'll be looking forward to the 105% run as well.

Model C with one movie seems to be the best for usability concerns. I'm not terribly eager to open up 4 windows and load 4 files to play one movie.

I've gotten used to the slow menus. But hopefully Mupen64Plus should resolve this soon. What I really want is a Zelda rom that zeroes out the beeping sound for near death. EDIT: One question though, would it be possible to manipulate bombs from the Stalfos aboard the Shadow Temple ship? This would save a bit of time cutting grass after the temple itself, maybe a second.

I don't think much has to be said. This is an awesome game and an awesome run. Easy yes vote. I especially liked standing on the clanpot to get closer to the ending star in that one snow level. Would also like to see a run with all the gems, but that's probably not going to happen for a while.

Still can't believe this game doesn't have an English patch yet. Yes for great optimization and some cool tricks.
