I recently just played King's Valley 2, which has 60 levels. This game looks like a shorter version of 2. The run looks interesting, character moves faster than 2. You took a long way in level 14, is there no shorter route in this level? By the way, I can't run MSX game on Bizhawk, the emulater doesn't load my bios, what bios do you use?

A friend of mine made a 100% relic & boss run, which was made in JP v1.2 version. In this version, it possible to do some special input (similar to game ending glitch) to get some glitch items and random items from enemy. E.g he got a library card very early, a glitch item to make Alucard reaches 999 attack and high guard rate, this changes the current route and should be faster. According to his research, this version is the best one for those glitches to work. Additionally, he used emulater reset, and a debug code to break a bridge in underground carverns. We wonder if this version can be used to improve the U version, as well as emulater reset and a debug code. https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1mdqwBVE8V/

Supplement 2 differences between U and J: 1. If you die in Dracula battle, you will reborn at A-03 in J, A-02 in U. 2. Some background graffic difference, e.g BLK 4-02 graffic. Alyosha: Do you have video shows how the input file was played on real console? I'm curious.

Yes, to avoid the ghost.

Challenger: not include Trevor hard mode, I want to do 2 Grant runs, both paths. One for submission, another for comparison and show fighting Dracula in glitch area.

I asked the author if he can explain how the glitch works, not have a reply yet. Quote some infomation from his video description: It requires doing some extreme input immediately after being got damage and floating at a designated location. The triggering mechanism is quite tricky, it requires checking various memory watch. Not too much useful to me, hmm.

Is it still possible to complete the game 100% with the good ending without the in-game code usage?
Sure, it's possible, but it will cause repetitive content. You have to defeat Dracula once to unlock stage 5', then defeat him again.

Why do you think switching to Richter is better for a 100% run?
We also have Richter, Maria any% run, both are not good ending. The 100% run is a good chance to show good ending.
So I am thinking here of changing the goal to "100%, good ending". Thoughts?
I agree with you to change the goal.

The previous authors had discussed about the ending in this topic: https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/8416 Finally they chose Richter ending. I do think Richter good ending is better for 100% run too, so I did same as them.

After the credits I checked the save file state and it shows 96%. Is there something you are missing? Also, would it be faster to defeat Dracula with Maria rather than having to restart and load up the game again?
Maria ending is always same whatever the percent is, Richter ending is different depend on how many girls you saved. The current published run used Richter ending too, I just follow their rule. edit: ok, fixed the percent issue. I change the file in the submission text, please replace it.

Yes vote, this run is impressive. So many interesting tricks, glitch fall, super jump, and the most surprising one Duel tower. I am also interested in your potential improvements, is there any video of them? Will you do a Reinhardt version? I think he cannot glitch to Science tower, is it?

Glad to see new tricks. I didn't know the dice game for characters resurrection, any explanation? I just found the suicide trick works for player 2 as well, using 1p select + 2p up + A +B. For 2 player run, it's very useful to keep only 1 player in final stage for lag reduction. I also know another trick of using same character for 2 players, but it looks not useful for any% 2 player run, just add some entertainment.

I knew the formula. I just meant that practical tests is difficult than theory.

You have a comprehensive view of bosses. Before that, you need to test probability that manipulate every attack as crit.

I think violence should be used even in TAS, you can't beat some bosses without it by one hit. Making character die in Mist Monster fight is a good idea. It need to test how many level that Hero and Jowy can upgrade to. In RTA run, the author had to go Southwindow for allies there after Tworiver event. He need 3 allies to upgrade HQ to lv2, could them be Kinnison, Shiro and Taki? If so, the extra trip can be avoided, or go Radat and Southwindow after Greenhill event for Stallion recruitment, I still doubt about getting him before Matilda could save time. Anyway, I will continue current wip even if it's possible to improve.

Currently wip: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/69469641935677070 , up to finishing Greenhill event. For most bosses, kindness + violence is enough. For final boss and Seed + Culgan, maybe double beat + double strike is a good choice. 900 damage x2 x3(crit)=5400 damage for one beat, of course it's hard to manipulate two beat as crit. I think Rina is a proper character in later period. She has 3 rune slots that I can put double beat, double strike and kite on her.

I understand everyone's comments, different people have different views on a matter from different angles, for the general audience and expert of the game, their opinions are very different. It was my fault that have not communicated to other people before did the run. We should stop argument, I think the more positive thing is researching new technology and doing a brand new run. Maybe I'll consider about that.

I have same view with Chanoyu. For the level 99 guys, in fact I have used high level Gerog and Pesmerga in normal playing who were strong indeed. However, they join very late and only can attach one rune, compare to 3 rune guys, they are not so strong as they look. For other lv99 guys, they are weaker than that 2 guys above. Overall, these guys are not worth to use.

I can't watch that, can you share some movie file? I did a casual test run long time ago, which is very improvable. I don't know what type of that run, 2 player run is a better choice for TAS, it makes the run more entertrainment to watch.
