Good choice I have already seen a movie of Metal Gear and it's one the most boring game I've ever seen.

has anyone thought about doing a metal gear time attack? it seems like it wouldbe extrememly hard to do. ive only beaten the game once, and it took me 2 and a half hours to do it, but i screwed around getting weapons i didnt need / rations / ect. im just curious. has anyone given any thought to how this might be done? im really thinking about trying it out and any tips or suggestions you have would be more than welcome.

If you want to try it, go for it! I can't get anywhere in that game.

There's a torrent at Suprnova with a 40 minutes speed run of the MSX Metal Gear.

I think it was too bad the run wasn't finished. Perhaps it was a bit boring but it's still a lot more fun than all the videos for games I never played before.

I believe the Metal Gear run was legitimate. As there a few mistakes here and there.

I can't believe nobody has completed a speed run of this game... the sheer difficulty of the game would make a perfect speed run fun to watch.. And since Snake Eater is coming out around the corner this game will have a little boost of popularity. dose anyone know of any glitches that can be abused?

There's a speed run available for the MSX version of this and its sequel, they were posted up at a well-known Bit Torrent site, but I don't know if they're still there.

Arc's site (link at top of page) has the MSX versions. I would love to see someone do an NES version, but attempts thus far have been aborted due to "boredom."
