Can't you load your latest savestate to recover most of those frames, unless you went that long without making any savestates?
I can send you the files, because I tried that suggestion and it did not work.

It seems that all of the links given to FCEU 0.98.16 are dead... Maybe it should go somewhere more permanent and be linked to from Emulator Homepages.
Source for .15 seems to be dead also. Just my luck, I really need it.

Link to source, as long as it lasts: Lukes 0.98.16, april 21, fceu source The missing rar file contains the make files and stuff, they were not included in the file Luke released (because they were probably not changed). Nitsuja sent them to me. Have fun

Filespace goes down now and then, it will probably be back up sometime soon. But the post you quoted is no longer applicable; that source is available enough now.

The source seems to be linked to savefile.com and it still just says 'ERROR: File not found'. I don't quite get this thing small files are being uploaded to unstable sources. Ok I might understand that webspace might not be free, but they could be uploaded temporarily to lets say, Bisqwit's website. I can also do the favor.

... I just POSTED the source, HELLOHO. So hush. If Bisqwit is still hosting this site on his own line then I can surely understand he's not willing to be a download source for anyone. He'll probably generate enough traffic the way it is already. The source I posted was the original last source released by Luke, including the missing files, provided by nitsuja. They compiled on windows, if you follow those directions (skip the SDL part in windows though). Can't say much for linux, but it probably should compile as well.

I asked for version .15. 16 is working already fine. But thank you anyway. Oh and v15 works now from the faq-page. (the host is different now, nobody mentioned though..)

This is maybe wrong topic for this, but it seems that I can't download FCE Ultra for some reason... Is this a common problem?

There is a problem with the AVI recording of fceu-0.98.16. I tried to record an avi with it but the video was black, the audio worked fine though. After that I tried recording an avi with fceu-0.98.15, with exactly the same codecs and it worked fine. So the problem is in the new version. Either I have missed some important setting, or there's something wrong with the code. I hope someone would check it out.
Which run should I encode next? :)

Yes, this has been known for some time. It was mentioned somehwere buried in this thread. Seems like quite a huge issue to me. Glad to see it restated.

Well in case anyone is about to tackle it in the old code, may I redirect your attention to the sourceforge project instead? There's a live project that always welcomes help :)

All I can think of is the negating of the colors when entering full screen, unless this was what you were referring to by palette corruption.

The line that starts with "* Trying to integrate that..." should say what "that" is or it doesn't make any sense. Also, maybe you should rearrange the items in order of descending priority.

I like the consolidation of bugs onto the first post. Grouping them in order of priority would be good addition. Even better would be somebody trying to fix some (or all) of these bugs.

I have a PC with two monitors, and when I drag FCEU to the secondary monitor, it lags like a waffalu and the sound gets all choppy. No other programs seem to suffer from this problem, even ones that are likely much more resource intensive than FCEU. For example, I can watch a DVD on each monitor simultaneously without issue.

Would it be possible to record AVIs which have the "movie start" and "movie end" messages in them in the next version? Plus of course the bug I earlier mentioned fixed:

EDIT: And "always on top" option would also be nice. Thank You. ;)

And would it be possible to customize (or at least aesthetically improve) the awful red font on the awful grey ellipse?

>And would it be possible to customize (or at least aesthetically improve) the awful red font on the awful grey ellipse? I agree. It blocks off a lot of the graphics, and the font is so big that the frame count and input display almost doesn't fit on a single line.

Imo, the font size and red color is ok. It should be customizeable because I love it like it is right now.

As an option, yes. Not all people want to record those messages in AVI.

Sometimes pressing the turbo button for 0.1 second and FCEU acts as if you are holding it for 15 seconds. Pretty annoying. I thought this problem was solved... but it's there.
