This is a 1669-frame improvement to my old run. Kururin Paradise is a sequel to Kuru Kuru Kururin. Kururin’s family was kidnapped by a group of magicians, and Kururin has to save them again. In this game, pressing R allows to speed up the Helirin's rotation.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: VisualBoyAdvance 1.7.2 re-recording v19.5
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes no damage
  • Uses a game restart sequence
  • Manipulates luck

Real levels

348 frames have been saved through finding different routes, reducing Helirin’s rotations, changing the ways to use springs, starting to speed up the Helirin’s rotation sooner to reduce the time for waiting in narrow passages, and small optimizations.

Mini games

1321 frames have been saved through manipulating luck and different strategies.

Thanks to…

・Nelio, for finding out a new strategy in 2-2. That inspired me to improve my old published run.

GabCM: Added Dailymushroom module. GabCM: Replaced it by a YouTube module.

I watched Ryuto's encode on Youtube. This run is a work of art! A great improvement over the last run, and the game choice is interesting too. Yes vote.

Yup, this sure looks good. But you have to wonder why there are so many minigames. The game developers must have gotten fed up with just making normal levels.

Was the delay before Jump the Road for luck manipulation?

Just the fact I saw the Kururin (if it's called like that) getting really, but REALLY, near obstacles and the records being destroyed makes me want to vote Yes.

Kururin's the main character. In English, at least, his vehicle's called the Helirin. (I assume it's the same one between the original game and the sequel.) Also, a pretty impressive improvement! Some of the changes in the minigames were immediately noticeable, and it pretty clearly needs TAS tools to pull off some of those shortcuts consistently.

This still looks beautiful. Good job!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

Omni, you could have used my YouTube HD + Dailymotion SD streams, you know. I'm going to replace the YouTube and add the Dailymotion. Thanks for the Archive and the publication though!

At 15:03 in the run, chapter 1-5 you don't beat the record? What is up with that, is that record even possible?

The record is his previous run of the stage to the primary exit.

He set that very record himself at 2:23. You get keys to hidden second exits throughout the game.
