I think I read somewhere that you had to wear the Gold Armor, and the bracelet will be in the 4th weapon chest (chest that normally contains a weapon) you open, or something like that.

Well, I don't have the ROM so I can't really do much testing for all that junk, but according to my cartridge, the Bracelet is always the first drop after you collect the blue shield. (Moon Shield, if you happen to actually know its proper name.) After that the chests follow this pattern: wizard, weapon, bear-trap, bracelet. Repeat. I'm not entirely sure what taking a hit (and thus losing your shield/armor) does to that pattern, but I never had the bracelet drop when I wasn't wearing the gold armor. *shrug* Then again I only played for about 30 minutes. The bracelet, however, is one of the worst weapons. The lance (standard weapon; the game calls it a sword), dagger, crossbow, and arguably the scythe (since you can fire it downwards) are all better weapons than the bracelet for most enemies. And that's not even considering the fact that the bracelet won't let you use magic. (Of course, magic may not actually be useful for a TAS; I haven't done any research there.) I distinctly recall that you don't actually need the bracelet to kill the final boss, but iirc you do need it to gain entrance to the boss. (Which means you have to fight him using the bracelet anyway, barring some really handy glitch that would let you switch weapons without actually picking one up.)
If life were an RPG, I'd be an NPC.

That's why it is best to get Golden Armor + Dagger ASAP, and then not open a single chest until you get to Belth (level 7-2 boss). That's the ideal plan, considering the dagger does half damage of bracelet, but shoots 2-3 times faster. Also, bracelet has no magical power.

My vote goes for using this level code to get to the second last level, spank that evil boss at the top and start over, getting the bracelet at some point and then beat the game! Awesome that someone finally makes this run! I've wanted to see this done this was for quite some time now. I wish you good luck!

You warped to the wrong level. Killing Sardius by warping to him will end in a completed game ending. You need to warp to level 7-2 and finish off Belth I and Belth II in order to activate the Fairy Ring. To see what the beggining of the game is supposed to look like, watch this. Keep in mind, this was back from when I was getting the feel of Arthur, so you can see me dick around with Belth and miss a lot for fun. Hooray for bad physics! :)

Question: If I was, in fact, going to continue with making this run, would I have to pick up the Gold Armor? Since I will be using the dagger until the 7th level, should I stick with just the Bronze Armor until I need to find the Fairy Bracelet? I ask because it takes some seconds to open a chest with/equip the Gold Armor, and the Dragon spell is pretty useless to me.

I don't think the Gold Armor is that important if you aren't going to use magic. The dagger's damage isn't increased at all is it? If not then stick with the bronze armor to save time. I know the dagger looks different when you change armor but if there is no change in damage then why spend the time changing armor? I hope you do continue with this run because I'd really like to see it.

You can't get Fairy Bracelet without Gold Armor. Shouldn't it be fastest to get Gold Armor when you sail at the sea because it's an autoscroller?

The 'change' in the weapon is that it becomes stronger and faster once you attain Bronze Armor. Gold Armor is only there for magic/access to the shield. I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with this yet. Still seeing how a few things turn out.
