I unfortunately have to admit I don't fully understand how to construct monuments such as Coral Castle yet.

Personally I think it's okay as long as they aren't incredibly obnoxious.
Well, in my opinion theenglishman's avatar is on the wrong side of that line. Quoting the forum rules… well, it seems the text has been changed. It used to say:
The focus on every post should be your message. This means that overly big signatures (more than 3 lines), graphical signatures, signatures and avatars that distract from the posting (such as graphical advertisements or bbcode abuse) or overly big avatars (larger than 100 pixels in width or height) are not allowed.
Your mileage may vary, but I think theenglishman's car humping avatar is one that distracts from the post content with its "hey lookey here, I'm moving a lot around here to catch your attention" style.

Varying mileage indeed, I don't really mind his avatar. And if it even has the "move around to be fancy" style, I'm pretty sure that wasn't done on purpose. Also, while we're at it, could we change the topic title to: "theenglishman's car humping discussion"?

If something similar couldn't have happened to you and if it caused only minor injuries, then it's perfectly fine.
What I mean is that is it bad, at a personal level, to laugh at people getting injured instead of getting feelings of empathy and compassion? Laughing at cartoons getting injured is ok because you know it's not real. Laughing at actors getting simulated injuries is ok because you know that they didn't get hurt for real. However, what about videos where the pain and possibly injury is real and accidental?

I think that, if you bear no ill will, it's wrong to blame yourself.

In those situations, we generally laugh out of a combination of the emotional relief as we find out that in fact no serious injury has occurred and the feeling of superiority that it couldn't have happened to ourselves. The first half of that condition isn't morally questionable in any case, for the second half I'll consider two sub-cases. In case A, we laugh because it was some very strange (yet completely undangerous) coincidence. In case B, it couldn't have happened to ourselves because we think we are intellectually superior to the victim. So with regard to the feeling of superiority, in case A we feel superior to chance (because even though something totally unpredictable happened, it proved to be completely undangerous), in case B we feel superior to the victim. Laughing is a kind of feedback we give to the victims of the accident as observers. If that feedback is dishonest or the one who laughs overestimates their level of superiority, it quickly becomes morally questionable in both cases. For case A, if we laugh, but something terrible could easily have happened under similar conditions, we offer dangerous feedback. The victim might carelessly get into the same situation again, but this time he/she maybe wouldn't be so lucky. It is as morally questionable as playing down any kind of serious danger in this world. For case B, we laugh over the sheer stupidity of the victim. If only few other human beings would have been as stupid as he/she was, then to laugh at him/her is a way of offering constructive feedback. If that feedback is however dishonest, it is as morally reprehensible as boasting, lying or mobbing. For videos, I'd say case A is only morally questionable if somebody else noticed that you were laughing.

Laugh is a healing emotional response, like crying is too. By laughing, the body deals with many types of situations. It's an exit out of an inconvenient or unconventional situation. Humor that plays with subverted expectations is a good example. By laughing we can trivially overcome our own mistakes, and by laughing we can also relieve the mood when someone falls over. I think it's wrong to feel guilt for a harmless primitive response such as that. However, if the person who just had an accident is severely injured in the process, and you are actually witnessing it, it may be wise to cut the laugh short, for it can prevent any possible rescue crew, including yourself, from working effectively.

:) It was a somewhat serious question though because that avatar is the logo of theosophy, and those things I mentioned are part of their teachings.

Guys, I don’t know if it’s the right place to ask, but I beleive someone here can help me. I have such a thing from my mom’s Korean friend: But I am not familiar with Korean language and cannot even use Google Translate, as I have no idea how to type that. Can you guys explain me what is this? I understand the English title, but I’d be glad to know what it’s all about. If you need a photo of the back side, tell me.

I don't speak Korean other than a few short phrases, but the writing system isn't too hard, so I can decipher the pronunciation at least. BUT you don't need to know how to type Korean to use it Google translate! You can draw it, by clicking the pen icon. I tested drawing the first big label 오리엔탈 드레싱, which (surprise surprise) means Oriental Dressing.

Can anyone give an accurate estimation of when Next-Gen consoles will have emulation/TASing capabilities?

3045 A.D. But more seriously, the PS4 has closer to computer architecture, so it's more likely we'll be getting proper PS4 emulation before, say, the Xbox One and Wii U. I'd say in like 5-7 years or so.

Since there still isn't even a PS2 emulator with stable TASing capabilities, and PS3 can hardly be emulated, I estimate that PS4 or Xbox One will have TASing capabilities in about 15 years (2029). Wii U will of course have it earlier, but I'm not sure it should be called "Next-Gen". I was able to prophecy the PS3 emulation quite accurately, so I'm probably right about this too.

Nope.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. Yep.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
